That's one of the best games of this jam so far. Nailed the visuals, nailed the mechanics, great music & sfx. The color pallet works like a charm, like you are playing a Gameboy title. Congrats for your project, I think you should consider keep going with this project and put it out there.

Nice retro vibe, a nice clever take on side scroller with the bubble mechanic, it holds up quite well, lots of little mini-puzzles to resolve.  I love the pallet, you tried to capture game boy with it and you most certainly did.  Sadly the same thing that annoys me about the Gameboy annoyed me here... Sound and repetitive music.  It was really off, it went from cute to irritating in about 2 minutes.

But other than that, great entry, really impressive how much you got done here in 5 days.

Nice design of the world and enemies, pretty clean execution and an interesting mechanic. Pretty great game. :-)

I loved it. This is the most fully realized game of the jam I've played so far (about 35 games).

Top to bottom polished and functional. I particularly liked the zoom into the Gameboy screen to start and the comets in the background. Just lovely.

I have only have a couple notes and they are pretty nitpicky (which means you killed it)

People have mentioned the clicking to shoot. I agree, a key would feel better.

Also the walk sound played even while standing still.

And, it said I won, but I have no idea why haha.

Other than that, perfect. Well done. And thanks for making it!

This is really well done! Basically a Bubble Bobble scrolling platformer, and it works pretty well! The sound effects and music were charming, and the colors are pretty retro for a portable player. The only weird was having to shoot with the mouse, since this is a Game Boy-like game, but besides that, it's amazing!

Quite the charming game ~ <3 This, "Walk, Man" and One Boot Ahead are the feel-good-games of the century! One of the few games I have literally nothing to complain about ~

The game looks lovely (I especially like the background), and the central mechanic is interesting and well done. What more could you ask for?

I think mouse to shoot was a little weird since everything else was keyboard. It made it so that I was switching between spacebar and mouse, which just felt sort of awkward (probably didn't help that I was using a trackpad, haha). I think a keyboard key for shooting would work better. It probably also feels better with a controller, which it looks like you already support.

Other than that though, I haven't got much in terms of feedback. Game was a little difficult to me, but it didn't feel unfair at all; I think it's just because I stink at games. I think this mechanic would be awesome to expand. Great work!

I didn't think about doing keyboard only, that would have been quite a better idea. Thanks for the advice_
