The game freezes whenever I touch the ground, I can barely even play it. Even after closing the tab, the music continues for a bit and it has some pretty bad performance for a browser game. I just wish I could play this, it looks so cool!

Hi thanks for the feedback.
I'm aware that when you first use the attack (left mouse button) it has a lagspike at start, but should fix itself after that.
Unfortunately i don't know the reason it does it, but i will try to fix it for sure once the jam ends and i can edit it.
I'm reallyt sorry for the inconvenience.

An okay game, it works well and has a Cat Mario vibe, but the gameplay is not trolling. It's fun and cute.

The sound and art design work so well together, I would recommend adding different music for each level as you progress :)

I really enjoyed the art style and had fun playing. I won't point out the same things that have already been mentioned as needing a little tweaking.

So overall, great effort and thanks!

Good first effort.  I liked the art style, but I agree with some of the comments below.  The controls could use some fine-tuning.  It sort of felt to me like the timing was off somehow.

I really dig your little bit of story. It fits the theme well, and is the right amount lighthearted do fit the cute art style. Actually, something about the story and art style sort of give me Kirby vibes, which is a positive if you ask me.

The attacking mechanic is interesting, and I think it has potential, but I'm not sure that it reads very well right now. I feel like it's sort of ineffective at really combating the enemy, and makes the player feel kind of weak. All that said though, I think this kind of interesting mechanic is perfect for a game jam where you can try new stuff and play around with it; just offering some feedback in case you have any intentions of expanding this.

Great work!

Nice little game.

The art is pretty good but the sound was a tad repetitive.
The controls were a little awkward to work with such as I wasn't fully aware I was attacking the first enemy, but once I figured it out, it worked pretty well. Also I was close to a spike but still died, even though I didn't touch it (maybe a collider size issue) and when I did die, I was able to walk for a second or two before he stopped (thought I survived it at first :O)
Overall it was a good game and I'd like to see where you take it :)

You win! Thanks for playing!

The mechanic felt like a unique asset and I feel like you could've done so much more with it (which you might've initially planned to? Haha), nonetheless, I saw the potential and loved it! The controls were responsive and worked very well.

The audio got a bit tedious/repetitive, but that's not much of a biggie! As for level design, I really liked the ideas you put in there, challenging and interesting bits, but I do  think the way the character controlled itself could've been a bit more lenient - for example the final jump (drop underneath the spikes than jump up to the next platform) was incredibly tight it felt like. Perhaps a slightly smaller hitbox for the player would do the job already!

Nonetheless, grats on submitting your first game jam ever, a playable game with a full gameloop! Congratulations!

Thank you so much for the feedback!! I'm really glad you liked it!

Still new to Godot and LMMS (that i used to make that background music, came up with that coming home from work singing randomly in the car, could have done much more for that, will invest more time next jam).

Last day of the jam my first two levels and GameManager files got corrrupted and i didn't use git so i rushed to come up with something playable.

The character was suppose to have better controls, i will try to get it better once i learn more.

P.S.

Loved your game too. Audio, mechanics and challenge was well done and balanced.
