Just an amazing game overall!

I did manage to skip a level by shooting right when entering the portal, and sometimes the camera showed some out of bounds map parts, but that are some minor nitpicks.

Also, I think this game is pretty streamer-friendly, as it is also fun to watch someone else play.

Best game I've seen so far in this jam (and in other jams I've done too!)

Everything just works well and combines well. You already had me at the starting dialogue :)

Music rocks too!
what vst/instrument did you use?

Okay yeah this is pretty flawless! The controls are good, the music is good, the gameplay is good, the story is good, EVERYTHING! Wow, I can't believe you made this in 5 days! This feels like a very fun version of Lunar Lander. So what if we blow up the moon? I don't see the problem with that! *Crashing waves rush into the desert where I live* Anyways, good job! Ask Julian where I can get rocket boots, yeah?

Cool idea, fun gameplay, intuitive controls, beautiful art, great music, funny story, and very well-crafted puzzles. This game is ridiculously good, flawless, only praise, 10/10.

I'm on the same page as everyone else on this one. Great game. Incredible that you produced it so quickly. Fun to play, nice to look at, funny, great difficulty and mechanic progression. What can I say? It's an excellent game!

One piece of constructive feedback...

What if you changed from a kid's head in a boot on the moon, to a race car driving around a track?!

And changed from monochromatic graphics to photorealistic 3d models!

And added a crafting system!

And a fps mini game where you shoot goblins with a bow and arrow!

I think those small tweaks would REALLY step this game up :)

Golly. I don't even know why I bother when other people can make things like this (kidding... sort of).

This does not feel like a jam game at all; it looks amazing, it feels great, and there appears to be a good amount of content. The central mechanic is unique and fun and difficult and weird and fun. You've somehow made it the perfect balance of unwieldy to control, but controllable enough that I don't get frustrated and quit. It just feels so fun to bounce around.

I love the goofy story and character designs too. Everything stylistically works together and it only enhances the good goofiness of the gameplay.

Overall, amazing work.

This is just good fun gaming.  This begs to be on a mobile, I want to play this on the toilet!

Pretty cool game. I like the main mechanic. Very polished. Nice job!

I enjoyed this game. The narrative was fun, the mechanics were engaging, and the puzzles were interesting.  I did not expect this much content! The sound and art were cohesive and matched the retro theme well. Great job!

The character design is the most 80s, ZX Spectrum/C64 game thing I've ever seen, and the gameplay and dialogues are simple and fun. Good stuff.

Love the soundtrack!

Simple and fun!

This game is simply charming and pussling with character and personality, I needn't say more or else it would be an overkill ~ This is the feel-good game of the century <3

Amazing art style.

Wow!

Extremely fun game (and a surprisingly long one for a jam) with great art and movement.

Thank you for playing! I'm happy you enjoyed it! As for the length of the game, I think that's kind of my "jam" at this point haha- I basically get that for every single jam I participate in. I guess I just like pumping out levels/content!

Graphics and art are flawless!

A lot of fun mechanics that are slowly explored and revealed to the player in a simple but effective and forgiving way! Begs to be played as a speedrun.

Developer

Hi! Thank you so much for playing, I'm glad you liked it! I wish I had some more time for additional mechanics/gimmicks (I have ideas haha) but I decided to go with a strict scope to avoid overscoping this jam. As for speedrunning; some friends of mine and I have already been running this! My current record is 8:39 (in-game time only), with 1 death, but even without that death, there's plenty of optimization to be got!
