This game has some charm! Dug the music and art style, the death sound made me giggle, and you had volume settings which is a huuuge win 👍I thought the concept was fun and found myself instinctively believing things were bugs until I found items that canceled out that bug. Great work and very clever concept!

Enjoyed the action packed room jumping,  mixing skill based movement with bullet hell, pretty solid game.

Well done son, reading some of the comments helped me figure put how to progress was really fun. Especially in the time limit, would probably look to make it a bit easier or have visual queues to help the player. All in all another banging game! Well done

reminds me of old ps1 / amiga games with a difficulty curve to match. cool modifier tiles, and power ups but the player getting smacked around areas with killfloor is a skill floor I can't play to. gg

This seemed to have a really nice style, I liked that .. but I couldn't get out of the first room properly. Couldn't always get through a door - and every time I did, I would immediately die on the other side..   but I kept trying!  Would play this again if I knew what to do :D

In what way were you dying after going through a door?

Ok, so in the starting room there's 4 doors. I'd approach doors on the left/bottom/right/top etc. Sometimes it would just act like there wasn't a door and I'd just "hit the wall". At other times, I'd pass through the door into another room - but then instantly on the room appearing there would be a noise and my character would be returned to the starting room. I repeated that a few times until the game told me I'd died and then gave me a nice message :D  I tried on different resolutions/screen sizes but it didn't seem to make a difference as to how I could either go through a door or "hit against it". I couldn't seem to find a repeatable method for getting through a door.

Same thing was happening to me, I was waiting for Jern to play the game to see If someone else would figure it out for me. Im playing on windows and redownloaded but nothing changed.

Ok I think I know what your issue is... You're not pressing E to go through the door. That's how i intended you to go through them as it was easier to program. The dying when going through a door is just you falling as there's no ground under the walls (and in hindsight that was very stupid). The reason you sometimes go through walls and don't other times is because that is one of the intentional bugs that gets randomly selected.

It's small cool hard game.

Some things to opimize:

  • Enemies bounce is really hard.
  • Moving Platforms should stick to the player especially after respawn
  • Walls and movable tiles are hard to distinguish I jumped so many times against walls :(
  • Enemies shouldn't directly spawn from wall the player is (so less time to react)
  • Some UI hints what is possible didn't know that you can activate stuff

Hi,

The idea of this game is that you need to collect patches to fix the bugs. The high enemy knockback and not moving with platforms are just a couple of them. These bugs also get randomly selected for each run so you wont always have these problems. The other issues you've stated I don't really understand what you're trying to say. But thanks for the input, regardless.

This game was somewhat difficult to understand at first, but I was able to get some rooms opened and explored. Overall pretty fun!
