This is adorable! Great job on the visuals in particular! I couldn't beat the third city, and it was a bit of a pain to restart from the very beginning each time, but otherwise I had fun with this!

Developer

Thanks for playing! All credits for the great artwork go to Pandesoft! And I totally understand the annoyance of restarting. I should've put a continue or save which level the player was on, but that's one of those things that didn't make it in the time limit lol

Visuals were great, love that the enemies are little flying tempuras! Controlled well, felt good to destroy buildings or enemies. Even dying didn't feel bad because you get to see that well made game over screen! Nice job :D

Thanks so much for playing! Pandesoft really did such a great job on all the artwork!

Love Love LOVE the visuals! The premise itself is a lot of fun and I found myself really investing in keep Kincho alive. One note I did have was that it would have been nice to have a level select unlocking vs a straight through playthrough since I would die a lot on the last level (lol), but I made it to the end so Kincho could win!! 🦐

Developer(+1)

I agree about the level select. I had actually wanted to put a little world map level select, but it was one of those things that fell off due to time restraints. Lol thank you for playing!

Did you guys make your own audio? The bullets sounded so funny it was great! I always did want to be a giant monster destroying a city. A fun little game with cute designs!

Developer

Yes, we did! I used a vocal synth to make Kincho's sounds, and Josh (JoshJayOnline) made the explosion/bullet sounds!

Glad you enjoyed it! It was a lot of fun to draw art for! c:

As soon as you destroy the attack buildings, the challenge disappears. I think the player's projectiles should have been faster, as well as the enemy projectiles being bigger and easier to see.

Keep up the good work!

Developer

Yeah, I see what you mean, once they're out it gets a lot less tense!

Thank you for playing ^-^~!
