this was so fun to play, and nice use of the assets
It was so much fun playing it. I really like this old school sprite shooter visuals. It was also pretty challenging. Why did you use this particular aiming system, rather then using conventional fps controls? It feels a little bit hard to get used to.
I like it! But the enemy start to fire when you born on game and dont stop... the enemy cant see you?I think the enemy just will start to fire when you are close, i think.
But the visual is amazing! i love this
I love the 2d as 3d world
I really like the idea and the 2D in 3D thing looks really nice.
I played the web version and it got too laggy after a short time.
So I downdloaded the Linux version and it closes after a bit.
Here is the log output I’m getting in case it helps:
Thanks for the feedback! A lot of people say there are problems regarding performance, so I'll have to fix that.
Nice idea, very good looking game. It reminds me the Doom game.
The aim its a bit off, and holding a key to turn the camera is useless. Imagine playing csgo holding C key to move the cam.
The game lack of performance after some minutes of gameplay and make you fail even its quite easy to kill guys.
But the originality of the game make me forget about the bad parts, and thank you for posting the progess on twitter.
Thanks for the feedback! In the future, I'll change the controls so it always moves with the mouse, and the crosshair is at the center. Also, a lot of people say there are problems in the last room, so I'll have to fix that.
A bit laggy, but may just be my computer.
Thanks for the feedback! A lot of people say there are problems regarding lag, so I'll have to fix that.
Pretty fun idea! But the game crashed on me almost immediately
Aww, that sucks :( A lot of people say there are problems regarding bugs, so I'll have to fix that
The mix of 2d and 3d is one of my favorite style of art. I enjoyed the short game but the mouse controls were a bit wonky and took a bit of getting used to.
Thanks for the feedback! In future builds, I'll change the controls so it always moves with the mouse, and the crosshair is at the center :)
I love the look of this (it reminds me of papercraft), and it had me cracking up laughing at some of the silly physics interactions. Neat and fun game!
Thank you! :)
Visuals are really fun. reminds me of the old 90s maze runner screen saver. Kind of wish the looking around was a bit better sorted. when you have the look around under automatic, maybe have it so the curser is always locked to center. As you move around your curser will move off screen making it difficult to shoot. After you make it through the level, you kill some dog looking thing. freezes the game at that point.
could be a really fun adventure game!
Thanks for the feedback! In future builds, I'll change the controls so it always moves with the mouse, and the crosshair is at the center. Also, a lot of people say there are problems in the last room, so I'll have to fix that.
It appears to have frozen up after I died.
The visuals aren't bad, though it would have benefited from a bit of variety in the color (varying shades of grey, as it were). Everything just kind of blends together.
Thanks for the feedback! In future builds, I'll probably change the projectile colors for the player, and added different patterns to enemy projectiles (to keep them black-and-white). Also, a lot of people say there are problems in the last room, so I'll have to fix that.
Haha, I love games that feel like this. Nice work!
Thank you!
It's a nice game and I love the mix of 2D and 3D feel. I think it could have benefited from more variety, because even though there are different enemies, there's always a lot of cubes flying around and it can get a bit repetitive. Unfortunately it crashed at the final part (both on browser and on Windows) but still a good entry in my opinion
Thanks for the feedback! In future builds, I'll be adding more spells and attacks to change gameplay a bit. I'll be creating a variety of enemy attacks and behavior as well. Also, a lot of people say there are problems in the last room, so I'll have to fix that.
The presentation is really good and I like the 2D sprites you chose to create the 3D environment. However the gameplay is basic and the theme isn't used very well, the game also started lagging after a few seconds which refrained me from completing it. Good job however!
Thanks for the feedback, Kenney! Yeah, I was planning for the color to slowly come back the more enemies you kill, with it coming back completely once you kill the boss. Didn't get to implement that though due to time, so it just looks like a style choice now. Also didn't get to implement the other spells that I wanted to add. Also, a lot of people say there are problems in the last room, so I'll have to fix that in future iterations :)
