Very interesting concept! We have seen deck building in shooters before, but the idea of picking up "Negative" modifiers instead of losing health is very new, and combined with the fact that the modifier might be together with the weapon you need, makes you judge if it's worth to take the negative hit or to keep rolling for a weaker weapon.
The starting pistol felt too weak and inaccurate, but other than that with some polish this is a really interesting idea with a lot of potential. Nice game!
Lets roll! Nice concept.
Liked the concept very much!

This was cool! Great atmosphere, nice variety of weapons, and a really cool take on the theme! The constant barrel rolling is pretty funny too lol. I felt like the game starts off super slow, takes a bit of upgrades for the wheel spinning mechanic to be fun. The sniper rifle kinda stinks too, shoots real slow for how inaccurate the aiming is.
Otherwise really cool game, I could totally see this being a full game with some polish and extra content (new enemies & levels might be enough). I got to 200 seconds the first time, and could've probably gone infinite the second time, just stopped at 600 but.
Interesting concept. I wasnt getting it to begin with, then I read down to your explanation below and then it started to click for me. Worth sticking it out and trying
Great idea and it works really well. Making movement refill your ammo is genius. It keeps the player moving. The one issue I have was the aim would be quite off the closer the zombies come. Not too much f an issue until they get really fast. I would love to see you iterate on this and put out some more levels. Great job!
Wow, thanks GentoGamer! The aiming has definitely been a recurring issue among players, if I continue with this game after the jam I'll definitely prioritize fixing that. Thank you for the feedback, I wasn't sure if the idea was going to be fun or frustrating so I'm glad to hear it turned out to be on the fun side :)
I like the deck building mechanics and how it tied into the lose condition really well!
Damn, it seems people succeeded so there's something I didn't understand. So before rating I need a bit of explanation :(. I had the left wheel that was empty except the red cross and I could only roll to charge with the right wheel. How do I get a rocket or something else?
Played the html version!
Sorry Woum! I rushed the tutorial so I understand why it is super confusing. By killing zombies you get to unlock more weapons and abilities for your wheels. The red cross that you start with is just a placeholder for the ability wheel, so it won't do anything until you unlock more.
I hope that makes some sense! I am realizing that I made the game a bit difficult, I just got really good at the game while developing, haha. Here's a hint: I hid a shotgun in the level, if you find it you get a shotgun for free!
Let me know if you're still having trouble, and thanks for giving it a try!
Oooooh I have to kill a zombie to unlock things, okay! I tryed to find a weapon in the game thinking it was just that (I had to find the hiding weapon to unlock them). But I didn't find (yet!) your shotgun, I'll try it again later, thanks for the clarification :).
Really fantastic concept!
My only minor grievances while playing were the hit detection and the sometimes hard-to-read weapon wheel, but I had fun regardless!
Thank you Spainmail! I really appreciate the feedback. I agree with you, the hit detection needs some work.
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you had fun!
Beautiful level and cool concept!
I really liked the visuals, and the rolling to move around was hilarious. The game is tough though, killing the zombies takes a long time. Overall I liked it!
Thanks IBricchi! I'm glad you appreciated the roll to move, that was my first try at animation (the other animations were from asset packs) so I'm happy it got a laugh! I'm with you, I definitely made the game way too tough at the beginning, moving forward I think I'll make the zombies start with much less health.
Very interesting concept and very nice visual atmosphere. Loved the game!
