The combination of gameplay and sound is good. It has a great sense of rhythm when playing.
Thanks for playing!
really great game man! a difficulty curve would be good tho.
It actually does get more difficult. The arrows start to spawn and move faster over time, especially around 150.

I've seen a handful of games use this concept this jam, but i think this one executes it the best. Maybe not the most crazy original out-there idea, but that doesn't matter to me as long as the game is fun. I had a good time :)
Thank you so much! It was my 48-hour jam so I decided to do something super simple. Glad you enjoyed it!
This like the undyne fight in undertale
Yup. That was the inspiration for this game. Thanks for playing!
very nice use of theme very well done

Nice concept. Decent execution. The particle effect is a nice touch- making it satisfying when a block is successful. The colour contrast between the arrows and the background is helpful, making it easier to notice the arrows.
Got a high score of 94.
One suggestion that I can think of is making it more obvious which side the arrows will rotate- the symbol for clockwise and ccw are both very similar to the eye and on top of that, they are moving really fast- making it hard to interpret them correctly in time.
Otherwise, it's a good game. Nice work!
I did originally intend it to be distinguishable which direction the rotation was going to be, but I ended up liking the rush that comes from the uncertainty. So I kept it that way.
Thanks for playing!
just got my pb of 200! this is a great game, nice and simple.
Nice! Thanks for playing!
I don't know how you got 175 on this game lol, my high score was 98 and I don't think I could go any higher! This was fun! It kinda had guitar hero-ish vibes to me, like trying to nail a correct pattern of key presses. I love the particles that emit when you block an arrow, it really adds a nice visual flair to the gameplay. The rotations are a good twist. Once you get going fast enough it gets hard to tell which way it'll rotate which makes a nice difficulty curve. The only thing I thought was weird is that when you move your shield from the left to the top, it does a 270 degree turn instead of taking the shorter 90 turn. Great submission!
Glad you enjoyed it! The 270 degree turn was a quirk with how I was rotating it in Godot. I couldn't really figure out how to fix it. But it shouldn't affect gameplay since all rotations take the same amount of time.
