It's interesting but at the times where there are multiple people close to each other it kinda makes it hard to know who the infected person is.

That was a good effort. I liked the experimental idea of the coughs being proximity based, but I'm not sure it worked as intended, as I did not figure out how to utilise it to my advantage. I'm thinking it may be because I had forgotten the previous cough volume by the time the new one came in. Also, the game is a bit punishing it terms of time allowance. I'd make it either large from the outset or remove the 5 second penalty from getting the wrong person (as you're already punished from wasting time moving towards them. But overall, it was a nice experience, good job!

This is kinda cool.  Sometimes the check temperature button wasn't working / the ! wouldn't pop up.  I'm not sure what was causing that, did you encounter this in testing?  I think I was able to figure out what "more aggressive" coughing sounded like.  If the sound could also become more distant in the audio when they are more distant from you that would be extremely cool, but this might have been a bit more complex to add for the jam.

It's an interesting concept - playing a game of hot/cold with audio. Unfortunately, stereo speakers only work on a left/right axis - it's impossible to determine if something is up/down. Playing with audio is definitely something I want to see more games do, though.

Definitely something I need to consider next time. Thanks

Very original (and timely) idea! Couldn't make use of the sound mechanic unfortunately, basically had to guess each level, couldn't make it past level 3. Also, had a rough time getting the scan to work even with a character showing the exclamation point which was unfortunate. Hopefully just a my end issue. Nice work though!

Unique use of theme and good gameplay mechanic. I thought through this jam I had escaped the apocolyptic real world. I will say the coughing noise gets a bit annoying with how quickly it's repeated, so I might change that slightly or just include more variants possibly?

The idea is really good. Sadly the sound wasn't enough for me to find the infected person. I couldn't finish the second level. It seemed like the sound was the same everywhere.

Shouldve changed when in close proximity. Thanks for the feedback.

Interesting concept. The sound effects work really well. I just wish there was a little more depth to the gameplay, rather than walking around and hoping you find the right person in time.

Developer

Got it, thanks
