I really like the concept! It has lots of potential, however, one thing I really wanted to have in-game is some kind of visual representation where you can put a path you selected, because it took me a not very short time to figure out xd. Other than that, I am in love with this, kind of reminds me of "Ultimate chicken horse" where you are also given building blocks, though there the theme is competition, and here it is connection. Great job!
Thank you for playing the game and your feedback ๐! Yes we agree and actually have tile highlights on a grid to show where tiles can be placed however on certain resolutions we discovered after the jam had closed the highlights and the grid doesn't show up (woops!). Something we have fixed for the reupload when the Jams finished. Thanks again for playing!
Most impressive!!
Its an engaging and polished experience. I don't really have any complants, though it did take some trial and error to understand which pieces are compatible with each other. Oh and when you lose and retry the music gets messed up.
I liked the concept and theme a lot.
I dare to say that an expanded version of this could be worth buying for a few bucks. This looks like a good blueprint for something bigger.
Hi thank you so much for playing and the feedback! Glad you liked the concept we had a lot of fun making this one ๐.
Super interesting idea, really nicely presented and lots of nice systems going on in the background. Critique wise, I think there was a bit of a lack of feedback, I wasn't entirely sure if I was doing things right and when I lost I wasn't really sure why. You have a nice explanation on your itch page, which I read afterwards but I think a few more visual queues in game to let me know that I was on the right / wrong track and why would've been nice. Despite that nitpick, I really like this one, it's a super cool idea, looks and sounds great and has been executed really well. Awesome work! :)
Thanks for playing and taking the time to give us feedback, really appreciate it! ๐
I like the concept of playing with the map instead of the character. It took me a bit to understand how to work but I'm from the 80's! I'm ok with "no tutorials"
Great art, ambience, camera movement and feeling. Really nice game!
Hi thanks for playing and taking the time to comment, glad you liked the map placement aspect. ๐
Love the concept ! Very fun to play. (got a score of 4413. it took a loooong while to count it up)
The visuals are really neat. the color effect at the end is really cool (wish there would be more of that during the game)
The turn by turn can get a bit confusing. since some pieces are being place automatically from time to time, it's easy to lose track of which side it is to play. (maybe add an indicator to clarify that. color coded like the player or simply name display would do the trick)
Appart from that. pretty perfect jam game ! Definetly a top tier contender. Well done :)
Great work on the score! And yes the count-up was a late additional polish which certainly needs some fine-tuning woops ๐. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback and playing the game, glad you had fun ๐.
puzzle dungeoning, I like the concept,
Thank you for playing and hosting!!
Hey that was a really fun game! My brother and I enjoyed playing it. Only thing we struggled with was when we weren't sure when we were and weren't allowed to place pieces - like maybe it was because of invisible walls?
Great special effects! Lots of juicy screen shake when you place pieces. Very satisfying game to play.
Awh, thank you! Really great to hear your feedback, and yes there seems to be a bug where at certain resolutions the grid or highlighting tiles do not show up.
Very interesting concept and cute graphics.
The game may be a bit too luck based as it is and the distance to cover is quite big: maybe in a future update you could add an easy mode with a smaller area.
Thank you for playing! We do have the ability to adjust the map size but ultimately ran out of time for any of those extra features. :D
Really cool idea! Reminds me of Loop Hero. Really curious to see what this idea can turn into
Hi, thanks for playing, we really enjoyed this jam and building the concept. Not heard of Loop Hero, will have to check it out!
This is really cool! I like how you would have to take into account what piece your friend would be left with after choosing yours. The encounters that occur as you move further adds a lot of depth as well.
Thanks for playing and your feedback ๐. Glad to hear you enjoyed the encounters (I had a bit of fun making the different monsters) and the second piece placement.
I'm not sure how this game works and what decides which blocks are placed for the second Kobold.
The fact I could name my brave adventurers Fluffy and Puffy is somewhat amazing.
Retro style and sound is awesome!
Hi Zompi, Thanks for playing and giving feedback. Glad you liked naming your Kobolds and great names too ๐!
It was kinda hard to figure out what I was supposed to do, but fun nonetheless. I like the pixel art and the music.
Thanks for playing and the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the pixel art and had fun trying the game out.
Loved the art style and the idea of the game but unfortunately I could not come to a complete understanding of how to play! Seems really interesting and could benefit greatly from a little description on the launch page or an in game tutorial in the future!
Thanks for giving our game a try and for the feedback! I agree an in-game tutorial would have been good and have added a small how-to-play to the itch.io page to help give some direction in future.
Very interesting game i like it.Cute art and nice gameplay.Very good job!
Thank you for playing and great to hear you liked the art and gameplay! It was lots of fun to make :)
Liked the game a lot, interesting concept! Can be confusing at times, sometimes cannot place the block even though they fit. Probably some introduction or tips are needed?
Thank you for playing the game! Appreciate the feedback and I agree that a short intro or tips would go a long way.
A very good game! love the concept!
Thank you for playing!
