I had to give this game a full score for all four categories. Nice mechanics, well paced difficulty curve and the final adrenaline rush ! Super nice grpahics and music ! Perfect !
I had only two minor issues : sometimes, when switching quickly from room to room, the axe disapears and there is no way to get it back, second, during the skeleton boss fight, all collisions between the character and th eaxe and boss stoped working, so I got the axe floating around the character but there was no way to retrieve it and no way for the boss to kill me, so I had to restart the game from level 1.
Ouch! That is terrible!!! I'm very sorry for the bug! I'll try to address it on the post-jam version.
It's nice if you can fix it, but honestly, that didn't keep me from going back to the game. Good work!

This was hell of a game. And the last level gave me quite an adrenaline rush!
Well hot damn! This was so much fun! All the level layouts/controls were very smooth, transitioning between areas felt great, and nice twist with the zombie dudes at the end - my heart was pounding! One minor suggestion - could you have used the up-arrow for jump / down-arrow for fall? Initially I died a bunch getting the 3 keys (jump, swing, throw) memorized, but got the hang of it eventually.

The pixel art in this game looks really good, and it's awesome that the weapon is used as a platform to solve mini-puzzles yeah like that idea!

Very nice! I had to watch the screenshot to understand the axe mecanics. Also i could go to level 2 without reach the door.

Fantastic game! Awesome animations and tight controls. God of War style axe-throwing is pretty cool. There was a section I kept dying in, which, after finally overcoming it felt like some sort of double-jump exploit. That was the only part I was about to quit, I'm glad I didn't. The boss and the section after it were unexpected but pretty cool and different from the main game. 5 stars all around.

Great game! top notch art and gameplay
Beat it. Excellent game. Nice sprites and good music. At first I thought, "This weapon is way over-powered", but on screens with small platforms it ended up needing a little finesse. The boss battle on was pretty intense.
The difficulty seemed to increase as the game went on, introducing concepts along the way (hallmark of good game design, they say), but I felt the difficulty plateaued after a while. I would have liked a bit more platforming and tight spaces.
On the topic of flow, I love one part of the game where there were a few claustrophobic areas, and then to break it up you had a hallway filled with bats that you could easily beat the tar out of. Very relieving.

Really nice game, the background music can be a bit tiring after a while but fits the general game vibes. Very good artistic job, sprites and tile work are super. Great submission!
Well, this was a top notch submission! Looks and plays really well, animations were fluid. I finished playing God of War (newest) for the first time couple of weeks ago so I can appreciate the weapon of choice. :D
SFX, while they are fitting for the aesthetics, are noticeably lackluster, but only because the game excels in every other category. Also I wish that the player character was just A BIT faster! :D
