Was the resolution a challenge?
Not quite.
I think it's easy to ignore the limitations depending on which type of game you're trying to make.
In my case, it was just a minigame, so it ended up being fine. But for larger games, things will definitely start to get crammed as soon as you want to display more stats for a HUD or keep a good amount of objects onscreen.
For me, the hardest part was actually finding space to display texts.
