Did you work in a team?
Yeah! Myself and Omar make one of these little lowrez games every year and it's always a blast! We both know how to code and do pixel art so it's always a good team!
Was the resolution a challenge?
We honestly both love making tiny games so this is less of a challenge every year!
What did you learn?
The biggest new thing for me was setting up controller support!

Really fun breakout style game! I really like the spiders, they are a cool addition. The music, sound effects, and art were all really good. At first I thought the jump felt really off, but a few levels in I realized it was just because the jump only triggers after releasing the space bar, not pressing it.
Nice game as a whole. A few things bugged me a bit… jump was kind of too long (you stay in the air quite a lot of time) and the leave (“the bat”) is positioned quite high in relation to the level global height which reduces quite a bit the operational space to catch the ball, particularly bad when you jump as it reduces even more. Difficulty is a bit forgiving, but that’s ok :) Good job!
Pretty good design and nice clear visuals considering the limited space. I found the movement controls a bit sluggish but other than that can't fault it.
thanks so much for playing!
Cute arkanoid-like. I enjoyed seeing the different levels and anticipating what would come next. The jump mechanic could use some polish, it snaps into the up position and it's not clear when it's useful. But otherwise it's a pretty great one, good job!
great feedback! thanks so much for playing! :D
This was a very fun game! The art and music is fantastic and the breakout mechanics work well. And I like the tiny tutorials in between levels. Short and sweet and to the point. It does utilize sub-pixel movement which makes it less than authentic, but makes the game more fun and smooth in the end.
Glad you liked it and thanks so much for playing!! :D
I love the color palette, very chill. Good job!
thanks so much!
Love Spiders!

Who doesn't like a brick breaker? Very cute graphics. I had a bug where it randomly reset the level? (I still had a ball going). Nice sound effects + music too!
Oh weird! I'll have to look into that! Thanks for the feedback!!
I loved this! It's a fun little take on breakout with some interesting new mechanics.
I had a few thoughts while playing:
1. The chiptune music works really well, but the volume was turned down by default. I think I would have liked it louder.
2. On some levels, you can launch the ball straight up and it leads to a situation that's akin to cheating. Because the ball never goes at an angle, it clears everything directly on top of the player. If you could randomize the initial ball angle, it would make the game more challenging in an interesting way.
great feedback! Thanks so much for playing!!
A fun little Breakout adventure, I like the items and enemies and boss fight. A tight package on all fronts, well done!
thank you!! <3
One of the best entries I have played so far! A unique spin on a classic mechanic. Great art music and level design. I loved that there was final boss. I was definitely not expecting that. And super satisfying to beat. Perfect length for a game jam as well. I literally have only one criticism. When the fanfare music plays at the end of the level the stage music is still playing as well and they clash in an unpleasing way. Super small issue though and didn't take away from my enjoyment of the game at all.

Thanks so much for the feedback and im glad you liked it! I'm faaar from being a sound designer but good call on the victory tune! Something to think a little harder about in future projects! <3
Super fun breakout game! took me a bit to figure out how to take advantage of the different items but once I got the hang of it was super fun! very good execution in color, style, and music!
thanks so much for playing!!
Nice take on the arkanoid/breakout game! The graphics and sound design are top notch!
aw thanks so much!!
I haven't played a breakout game in years. Nice work on making me nostalgic!
The art is awesome. I really love how the character twirls around after finishing a level!
Thanks so much!!❤️
It was such a fun journey!
It has been a lot of time since I last played a breakout-like game, it indeed was nostalgic for me! It is great to see people still working on these types of games and making the genre stay alive!
A solid few minutes of gameplay with exciting progression, it was pretty great level design-wise. Visuals and audio are on-point for a game like this!
Good job!
thank you so much! ❤️
I love the take on a typical genre! My only complaint I have for this awesome game is when I got to the boss the music got a tad louder then the rest of the game
oh good feedback! I'm not sure if I ever adjusted the volume on last song! Thanks for playing!
interesting breakout-like games and very good graphics.
the only problem for me is the player movement is very slow.
but other than that, good job.
thanks for the feedback and for playing!!
So goooooood! Big bad boss baddie almost had me but managed to scrape away a win
aw, thank yooou! <3
This game was SO cute I loved it! The jump felt a tad sticky and delayed though.
thanks so much for playing!!
