Did you work in a team?
No, I worked alone on this project.

Was the resolution a challenge?
There are definitely some challenges in creating game art at this low resolution, especially on the UI as there's very little space to display text. I had to go with a minimalistic UI and created a font with 3x5 pixels per character.

What did you learn?
This is the first time I have not used an existing game engine. Instead I used my own WebGL library (https://github.com/andykswong/mugl) for rendering and custom arcade physics.

Love all the little characters! I included it in my LowRezJam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Nice work! This game is pretty tough, it seems like I got stunlocked quite a bit while playing. I like the idea of the progression, but the prices seemed quite high. A game like this would do really well on mobile platforms with a little bit of work!

Good job!

Pretty addicting. There was a few times where I got stun-locked and couldn't seem to do anything but avoiding that also seemed like part of the challenge so it didn't feel too bad. I do wish the progression was a little faster though. Overall great work!

It seems like there could be something interesting here, but I felt overwhelmed. I was immediately presented with several complicated choices that I don't understand, and I was thrown into battle without getting much of a chance to get acclimated to the controls.

I would say slow it down a little bit and focus on one thing at a time. Give the player a chance to get used to the way the game plays before throwing in so many enemies

Very good game. I had some minor problems controlling the character on my first try but after that it was smooth. I would suggest add  the left and right mouse buttons for Attack/Block :P

Other than that, Congratz :D

decent music and visuals! I think giving the player more options from the get-go would be a great reason to play it a couple times before racking up enough coins for the shop. i also got overwhelmed rather easily, but overall nice entry and a good job!

Having fun playing this one, great job!

Fun game! Every now and then I would get stunlocked when being overwhelmed by a group of monsters, but by blocking and then attacking I would manage to break free. Always felt great when I was able to survive by doing so!
