Really fun and incredibly readable! Great use of the resolution.

Didn't expect a tactics game here :O

Good idea and execution.

Cool

Wasn’t able to play the game. Kept getting “Web GL Context was lost”. I tried both Chrome and Firefox (on MacOS).

I don't have a way of testing and I know Godot 4 has issues working on Mac for web.  Not much I can do sorry.

Developer

I did some research on mac exports and added a new link to one.  Hopefully it works for you.

Just tried the Mac export. Crashed immediately on startup cries

I liked this, it made me consider making a tactics type game.  Good work and well polished

Nice to see another grid-based entry in this jam!

Impressive readability and functionality. And thankyou for adding an instructions section. It's amazing how many devs ignore the part about telling the player how to play their game haha

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

Really cool! I enjoyed the gameplay a lot, and everything was very readable and understandable.  I liked the additional mechanics of the grenade that did burn damage, and the piercing damage of the shooting. Made the game nice and tactical.

The only complaint I had was the length of the delay between each turn.

Developer

Thanks! Making the game be readable at this scale was important to me.  Timing the turns to let you see the action but not create extra delay takes balancing and I can see where it could be tweaked and improved.

It's a really nice tactical game, kind of like an X-COM for GameBoy :) I was surprised how readable the characters and their stats were, great job!

Very complete-feeling game, nicely done!

I love turn-based tactics games so this was right up my alley :)

Great design for the controls once I got use to them.  It's really impressive making a game like this at such a low resolution but still have everything be readable and intuitive.

Developer

Thanks, UI was a big challenge with this game and I'm glad you liked how it turned out.

Very addicting TBS! Glad to meet this kind at jam. It’s more like HoMM with separate phases for movement and combat than classic XCOM with AP for all actions. I guess you might like my entry.

Typically SRPG like Fire Emblem. But I got confused with the controls when I first played. After reading the instruction, I get into the rhythm :)   I also like the design of the background, like playing the game on an old-school game console. Good Job!

The art is nice and music is chill. I like this game a lot. Great job!

Nice turn-based strategy, in such low resolution, it is an achievement on its own! Liked your simple and clear art.

Really enjoyed this game. Reminds me on a great time I had years ago.

I like the music you have chosen for this game and how everything looks.

I experienced some graphical bug while playing: Sometimes when scrolling, pixels are offset by 1 which confused me a few times.

The difficulty in this game is at a great spot. I managed to beat all levels at the first try but I still had to give it enough thought to not lose. The different weapons all have their unique use case and I love how the fire grenade works. The fire looks amazing!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked and finished it.  I saw that issue and tried to fix it, but it seems to be a glitch with the physics engine upscaling from a tiny resolution so there's not much I can do.

Feels like an early prototype of XCOM :D amazing job!

Thanks! That game was definitely an inspiration and one of my favourites.

Awesome game! I never expected a strategy game to work in 64x64, but you pulled it off amazingly!

Developer

Thanks!
