Absolutely stunning art with sprite animations! Great platformer challenge as well, though I could have appreciated some guidance. Anyways well done! Thanks for the experience

Thank you so much for you feedback, Miikka ♥♥

Presentation is pretty much flawless, as is the take on the theme.

However to me the lack of a map/indication of where to go (at least there are sometimes signs for Oxygen) and the inability to exit the minigames (died in the dna one in my last try) made it kind of frustrating to play.

Want to give special props for the oxygen refill sound, it really gives that feel of finally taking a deep breath of fresh air again.

Thank you so much, juwambo! We've put a lot of effort and love to this piece ♥ We have received similar feedbacks about a map/puzzle exit and we'll definitely include it in future versions!

Cool game and good implemetation of the theme. The inclusion of the cinematic is a really great touch.

My critique of the game:

  • Since I'm using ultrawide monitor, the UI is shifted making the experience less enjoyable as I could not finish the game (one of the minigames where you have to arrange the stuff), so I've never actually reach the ending of the game.
  • The level design and the lack of indication on where the collectibles makes it into quite a frustrating experience to play.

But the overall the game is great. Good job!

Thank you for your feedback, Yohaines! We had a similar comment about the indications and we'll definetly improve this in the future. Also we've locket the aspect ratio to avoid this kind of problem, but I think it made it worse ^^'.  Thank you so much again ♥

Really great jam game overall, hits all the points. Intro sets up the gameplay well and the presentation is on point. Nice job you all!

Thank you so much for your feedback! Still in love with your game hahahah ♥

Great game. The sequence really sets the mood :)

The minigames need some polishing but the idea behind them is clear and fits the vibe. I never (absolutely never) could avoid the souls of offended janitors. Not sure if that's by design, but inevitability of a collision made me depressed on some occasions and I chose to face them directly.

The artstyle is great.

Definitely recommend to anyone who loves retro games.

Thank you for your feedback! They are intentionally hard to avoid, but  being frustrating was not the idea , we'll consider this in the future ♥

Very nice artstyle. Cool to have included a cinematic as well. Maybe a bit of a hint on where to go would have been nice, though at the same time figuring it out for yourself is part of the fun

Developer

Thank you so much for your feedback! We'll include some kind of map in the future ♥

Thanks you very much for play!! :D

Woow, I really liked this approach. The idea of solving puzzles, with each one having a different mechanic, makes the game very dynamic.
I particularly enjoyed how as you lose your breath, the screen gets darker and distorted, and then when you finally manage to recover your breath using the oxygen cylinder, it's such a relief haha.
Congratulations to the devs!!!

Pros:

  • Beautiful artistic design
  • Great sound effects
  • Smooth gameplay
  • Fun and diverse
  • Cutscenes
  • Fits the theme

Cons:

  • Has a few interaction and input bugs, but nothing that Alt+F4 can't fix to be able to play again :)

Hello Random,

Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm glad you had a overall positive experience when playing NOAR Inc.

We  had some problems when uploading the right version on time, so some avoidable bugs are a thing on this jam version ^^'.

Hope you have a great night!

Extremely cool pixel art and sound design. The amount of polish in the animations for such a short jam is incredible.

Some of my thoughts and things I ran into when playing the game:

  • Would have loved to see some kind of shadows or something under the platforms that you could move on top of, to communicate that more clearly to the player. Now it felt those blended into the background a bit too well sometimes, especially with all the post processing effects that were going on
  • Not a huge fan with the non-pixelart UI fonts/assets when mixed with such a beautiful pixel art graphics
  • Was hoping for a more clearer goal to move towards to. The big, open level with felt a bit uneasy. Maybe more closed areas in the beginning would have been good, so that the player can learn the controls etc. before exploring bigger areas
  • The instructions for the bloodclot minigame were shown under the chemicals panel on the top left, so the text was hard to read
  • When entering the minigame my character was stuck in a jump animation, and the sounds of the jump were looping on the background
  • I got stuck on the blootclot minigame, as it was a bit unclear what to do there
  • I had to restart the game from the OS, since if you navigate back to the main menu inside the game, the "Play" button stops working

Other than these issues, this is a good jam game overall!

Thank you so much for this incredible and detailed feedback, murzy ♥!  We had some problems when uploading the right version in time, some of the problems you have encountered were solved on the latest version.
