How does your game fit the Magical Girl genre?
Pandora has the power of flavor conjuration. In this scenario she must reclaim her powers by fighting the embodiment of each of the five flavors!
Which theme(s) do you pick?
1. PANDORA PARADOXXX
How does your game fit those theme(s)?
Well, aside from straight up taking the name for our protagonist, the idea is that you are restoring the situation from a state where these sentient foods have somehow manifested.
If you follow any of the optional challenges, elaborate as you like.
I decided to do AE86. I made the song myself too! I never made a Eurobeat track before but it was a blast to work on!
Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
All the characters and music, yes. The sound effects were from kitbashes from my fx libraries. Particle fx and the background tiles were from Kenney.

Many recommended me this and I can definitely see why.
Well making a game based on vampire survivor is basically guaranteed to be fun; but I most definitely love the flavor themes for her power -- definitely a welcome twist.
Very well done. Thanks for participating!
Very fun game! The character and enemy animations are super cute, I love them!
The gameplay is a lot of fun, especially after you get the right combo of powers. For the first half or so, my attack felt fairly weak, but I eventually got an OP combo going and just ran around annihilating everything. My only complaint at that point was that finding the final boss took forever! It was hard to search with minimal landmarks and invisible boundaries.
Nitpicks aside, I had a blast! Great work!
I'm glad you got a good power combo eventually! Some are more fun than others tbh 😅
And, yeah I really wanted to add in some sort of indicator or map, but time was so limited at the end, I just opted for colored areas and crossed my fingers it would work well enough!
Thanks for playing!
Nice game! I like the enemies design. My cursor also felt really fast and agile inside the game.
Glad you enjoyed playing! It was fun to come up with unique enemy behaviors :D
Nice idea to include that kind of progression system in a horde survival!
The game is really fun to play, with a great difficulty curve (I guess that highly depends on the order of flavors).
Everything is polished to a very good level. There is one funny bug that only appears if you defeat all the bosses, start the game over and click many times ¦3
Visuals, music and sounds are pleasant, the controls feel great (I would appreciate having an in-game cursor, as my own cursor sometimes was hiding somewhere on white background), and the game is almost always nicely readable (except in late game, where enemy bullets are very hard to see in the overall chaos).
Thanks for all the feedback! I gotta rework my scene changing for sure cause it's a bit borked 🥲 And I agree the cursor should be made more visible!
Cute
Clean run! Thanks for playing and sharing!
If you ever develop it into a longer game, I'd prefer level design to resemble normal twin sticks more than bullet heavens/Survivor-likes :)
Yeah a more structured level layout would probably be a better fit for the mechanics. I went with Survivor-like to save dev time – which worked, but also caused the flow to suffer a bit.
I don't know if I'll continue developing this exact game, but I probably will try to generalize it's components for use in future projects.
Overall a very simple yet fun game.
The bullet crafting is neat idea and feels good once you figure out what the flavours do. However until you unlock any flavours, levelling mean little and your success heavily comes down to the order of flavours you unlock.
On my first run I nearly lost due to everything out-scaling my damage as it just so happened my last few flavours were all the damaging ones (fire-rate, piercing and finally bullet count). On my second run, I reversed the order and had a much easier time.
Otherwise its very good submission, good work.
Thanks for your feedback! Indeed it ended up being trial and error to figure out what works. I don't really enjoy that kind of thing either, but that's just how the cookie crumbled this time around. I appreciate you giving it a fair shot regardless!
I love it! Is really fun to play <3
Much appreciated!
when you defeat 3 bosses I feel unstoppable, a curious and well executed game, I defeated all the ingredients I saw on my way.
Awesome! Thanks for playing through!
her little run animation is sooo adorable, really fun and cute game!!
Aw thank you so much!
Really good! I only unlocked one flavor before I died though
Thanks! And sorry, the balance definitely went out the window after a certain point haha...
I like the simple, fun gameplay! One of my favourites this jam!
Thanks so much for playing!
