How does your game fit the theme "Unconventional Means"?
The spells are unexpected sometimes its for good and sometimes for bad, the player must somehow get around enemies and get to the end

Good game, and cool mechanics! I like how I can use the crates like a magic carpet! But the spell that sends you back is very annoying, sometimes it brings you to the begining instead of the checkpoint.
Nice art! I struggled a lot with making the spellcasting useful, though. Being able to spawn enemies at random early on is AWFUL because you're basically trapped in a small space with them; and the fact they don't kill you but simply send you back to your spawn point makes them only a nuisance and not a threat as you try to ignore them and build. The teleportation spell was also annoying too, but I guess that was the intention? It was really funny at times!
Also, it took me so long to realize I could move the boxes with my mouse, and THAT made everything sooooooo much easier. After that realization, it was really fun!!
Overall, the art is really cool and the game was fun, I love it!
Nice art, and good overall aesthetics of the game. I'm going to be honest I didn't really use the "casting spells" once I started dragging the boxes as it seemed a lot more fair than the randomness of the spellcasting. The enemies were fun but the fire can move way too quickly for me to react in time.
Really liked the game, the art was really good aswell. The only thing i didnt like is that you can just cheat by jumping on a box/key and you can just hover above everything. Also was a bit short but was fun.
*when the feature that you putted in your game is called a "cheat" ; v ;* I'm glad you liked it
I didnt directly mean cheat, just when i play it I used it and beat the game very quick and didnt really use any of the other features.
Nice job! Really liked the idea! The art style is amazing!
Really liked the graphics of this game a lot!
Maybe remove the restart mechanic from the random spells. And giving a hint from the beggining that you can move objects with your mouse.
Really good game tho! Keep it up!
This was a cool idea and the graphics were awesome -played well too! Nice work! :D
The graphics and atmosphere are really awesome.
awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I really love the concept! Reminds me of the Wabbajack from Skyrim, which also casts random spells and also makes for really chaotic situations! The only problem for me were, that it's kinda easy to bring a level in an state where it is simply impossible to solve because of a lot of boxes blocking your way. A reset button for the whole level would be nice. Oh and also the graphics are so cute! Love it!

The graphics were cute and I really liked the concept. Unfortunately the randomness did cause me a fair deal of soft locking and being sent back to the start every third cast was more annoying than fun.
It is betraying magic, unconvencional also means it is not the best option, in this case unconventional magic, the character could have become pastizieaur instead of witch bcus of that. I mean, would you put a wizard that could shoot dragon eggs or bubbles in you FF team? Nope, it is a not a bad, but a really weird choice
Great game! The graphics are really good, and while the game mechanic can be a bit annoying at times, knowing that it was intentional actually made it a pretty fun and cool concept. It was a neat response to the theme! Well done!
It was hard for me to understand at first. The visuals and lights are great!
The concept is novel, and the art assets + lighting are well done, but the gameplay is incredibly inconsistent. I think that you should have allowed the player to control the effect of the spell casting in some way. Its basically pure chance if I spawn enough boxes to reach the end of the level. Also i’m not sure if this was intended or not but sometimes when casting a spell it just resets the player’s position to the beginning of the level.
resetting player's position to the random checkpoint was intentional to make game a little bit unpredictable
