I really enjoyed the core movement mechanic and think it has a lot of potential. I would have liked to have some SFX on the enemies when they die rather than just disappearing. A really good team effort and the end was interesting too thanks!

Thanks. Oh there is but I guess we could have made it a bit louder xD

Ah I see, I have hearing problems on one side so sometimes I struggle to hear sounds when they are mixed with other things.

Cool little game, like the Missile Command style of gameplay with you defending the city.

You know if you ask me I would add more explosions to the game. And especially to bounced missiles to make  areal damage to those aliens. And BTW you have Right mouse button  and Left mouse button swapped in the controls description.

Developer

Oops I do that from time to time xD. Thank for letting me know

i liked the way it was balanced where you take damage and protect the city, but not too much damage or you kill it entirely lol. it was awkward aiming at first, but i easily got used to it!

Developer

Yeah we'd like to look at making it a bit easier with a laser pointer or something =D. Thanks for playing!

I liked it! I do wish that aiming was independent of movement, however, since putting the two together can make it difficult to dodge an attack since you generally have to move to where the enemy is shooting in order to shoot them back. The aesthetic and concept also had some nice punch to them!

I like your game! I really liked the idea of parrying bullets with the risk/reward coming with it, it's really fun.

(Also, thank you so much for playing my game)

Developer

No problem. Thanks for playing ours =D

Nice concept, I liked the limitation of moving the character, the shield and bouncing back rockets felt satisfying and was fun. It could have been fun to expand a bit on the escaping citizens, maybe helicopters that take citizens out for bonus score and some enemy variety

Developer

We also keep coming up with more ideas so maybe one day we'll add some cool new feature like those =D. Thanks for playing!!

I like the shielding mechanic, adds more tension to the game. Also the pilot portrait at the bottom right is a really nice touch!

Developer

Thanks for playing =D

Really liked the concept and the art. The movement speed felt a little too slow.

Developer

Thanks for playing! We might have a look at a few things once the jams judging is over =D.

The concept of defending is ok, also you added different levels of difficulties.. it would be nice to shot in the direction of the mouse and add explosion when you kill the enemy.

Developer

Thanks for the advice. Yeah we have a little explosion SFX but a visual explosion would be a nice touch. Thanks for playing =D.

Cool defender game that feels like kind of a spin on space invaders :D

To be honest the aiming system is a bit unusual and takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, its really fun. I also like how the last stand aspect from the title is clearly used with the core detonation mechanic once the city is evacuated.

Visually i like the city backdrop and the rain effect, the pilot’s cam that double as a health meter is also really clever Ui design i think !

Solid entry, good job to you guys :)

Thankyou very much =D. Hmm maybe a short laser showing where you're aiming would help? We'll have a play with the idea =D Thanks for playing!!

Submitted(+1)

yeah a laser would be a nice way to help, good idea.
