Dang, I really love the aesthetics of this submission. Solid job with the art - not just with the models, but the UI and intro menu as well. Unfortunately I fell through the floor shortly after getting the bow (twice), and was unable to proceed, so I assumed that was as far as I could get. Apologies if there was more to do. Hope you finish the project after the jam, as I'm loving what I'm seeing here, especially with how good it feels to use the bow. Keep up the good work!

Graphics were cool, and I liked the originality of the story. It has been mentionned before but the white outline constrasts with the rest of the art, although having it to distinguish enemies was a good idea.

Had a lot of trouble with playing it, such as taking damage out of nowhere, invisible enemies and getting stuck in walls. I also noticed some things that I guess weren't intended, such as arrows still dealing damage to enemies once on the ground, since they're solid I could also use them as platforms to get to some places.

I like the concept, and I understand this was a jam game, but it has a lot of potential. Just a couple bugs to fix.

Hey thanks for playing. I will say that this was 100% intended! I believe strongly in a multi purpose design philosophy so not only can you use arrows to kill enemies but also as you say platforms to get to certain places.

When I encounter a bug, I say it's a feature. Jk, this is very cool lol

game looks good for the most part

having a white outline around some stuff (enemies) clashed with the other art a bit

liked the main characters sprites/animations and the bow is satisfying to fire

had some issues playing it:

turning around causes you to get stuck walls which can be annoying when trying to be precise like when in between to tiles

had to restart because is became really slow after unpleasing (i noticed this kept happening when i was in the same room for awhile)

can get stuck in your own arrow by shooting where your standing

sometimes get stuck for a moment on the ledges of tiles your trying to get onto

would also just sometimes jump and go straight through platforms also when falling as well

red platforms feel like they take awhile to reappear

also there are long stretches of just walking with not much else (maybe its the slow down that made it feel like its taking awhile)

Played through it for a bit, but got softlocked when talking to the person immediately after getting the bow. He kept repeating the same dialogue, and I couldn't move away from them while talking. Also, you can jump over the room transition hitboxes for some of the rooms in the beginning which makes you need to quit out. Seemed pretty fun other than those!

Developer

thanks for the reply! You can press down to get past the dialogue boxes, I need to make that more explicit however as I can totally see why you experienced what you did there. I tried to make those room transitions flawless but clearly I missed some!

Thank you so much for playing! I wish i had more time to playtest to iron all these out! embarassing haha.
