Comments on the jam
Making a game for a month is more tiring than making a game for a few weeks. But I've developed a lot of my own engine. And because of the accident, so this event did not invite others to work together.

This game is incredibly impressive! There's an amazing amount of features and systems in here. I know you said you used your own engine, but I'm still impressed. I even noticed the enemy vision systems. That's a great detail.

I do thing there's a lot of potential to this game, but as it is now, it's not very fun. However! There are obvious paths to making this game feel beyond a game jam: varying weapon effects, more levels, more enemies, player powers...it sounds like a lot, but you seem to have gotten a lot of the busywork of making a game out of the way. Be proud of this.

As you said. About the last two weeks, I had to make a new plan to finish the game in time. At that time, I had to choose what needed to be done and what needs to be cut off.

Then I had to do a structure of all the dungeons according to the story. Then take the rest of the time to fill in the details. This way is quite certain that the game will be finished in time. But the downside is the game is not fresh.

For example, clothes In the game there are only the clothes of the characters and the only "shirt" that can be taken on the dungeon. Even though we can create a lot of costumes from the character customization program. But because there is not enough time, so we can make a sample one "shirt" to let the players know that when changing the outfit, how will it affect the status?

But...this is a Game Jam. I am enjoying it very much. Maybe if there is a chance, I might remake this game as you (and others) recommend.

Thank you very much for everything.

Great entry to the Metroidvania jam! I love all the different perspectives that you wrote this game from. The gameplay in general was quite good, if a bit repetitive. Level design was a bit repetitive as well, but you made a pretty huge map in a month so not a big deal. I really don't see how you did all of this in a month. I may have missed it, but an option to turn all of the blood off would be very nice; I wouldn't feel comfortable playing this one around any sort of younger kids.

I love how you can chain attacks together, and the enemies can as well! I have quite a few different feedbacks for different aspects of the game; let me know and I can leave them in a comment here or send them directly to you on Discord, email, etc.

Oh. I'm sorry about the blood. At first, I was worried about it. But there is a thread in the community that It can bleed, but there shouldn't be gore. But I'll add a button at the top (right next to it to select EN or TH (I from Thailand)) that can remove this effect. Or would you be okay if it just turned green? Let me know, I'll be very grateful.

You can send me a message on Discord or send it to ba_kazama@hotmail.com. I'll be very grateful and I'll do my best to polish further.

If community says blood is OK then that's fine; I wasn't aware.

Nice game. Liked the character creator and overall polish of the game. I would love to see some better level design because right now its a little boring and repetetive. Little weird controlls too (not too weird but unusual) especially the jumping key - it was hard to combo all the three attacks and then quickly jump. Don't know about the door keys either, I didn't really need to collect all of them to progress. Overall a nice game but a little too ornamented and less meat and potatoes :)

Developer

thank you for the advice.

About control, using a joystick is recommended. I had a little time to polish the controls with the keyboard. Sorry.

Let me ask you a question I do not speak English But I want to know the meaning of "meat and potatoes" hope you can explain it to me. Thank you very much for your help.

Congratulations on the publication! So much polish, between the character custom, the stats in the pause menu, and the little effects and dialogue. It's a very good game, with a nice handling even if I would have liked another jumping touch than H. Well done again!

Developer(+1)

Thank you. I added a spacebar button for jumping. Hopefully, this will make it easier to play. The game is actually designed to use a joystick, you'll get the most fun with it.

A really great entry! I appreciated the depth in the equipment system. Perhaps the weapons could level-up automatically, like in Cave Story. The AI was pretty great too, backing up from the player like that. Got difficult quickly though, I died so many times in that spike room. Good stuff, great blood effects.

Thank you.
I added the auto-upgrade system, it will upgrade when collecting diamonds. Not sure it's what you want. (click on the item to auto and press down, you can only choose 1 to auto)
but I don't recommend it because you should decide for yourself whether to use diamonds with weapons or clothes.
