i love the vibe. kind of wacky and surrealist. the overall game feel could use some work. i was a bit confused by the world design. There were moments where i felt like i was entering a door and then would be teleported to the start of the same room i just left. There was also a time where i feel like i went into a door on the right and came out a door in a different room to the left. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. I did hit a point where i just went into what i thought was a door and then started falling forever. There are overall a lot of touches to it that i appreciate, but it felt very rough. I love the lil worm guy! A++ worm!!

Very cool little game! It's still fairly simple, but given the time limit you did a great job!

I really liked how unique each enemy is, each one with it's own personality, art, attack, very nice.

Pretty cool game. I really enjoyed it.

Going from one room to another is bit confusing. I got lost getting back in some areas. But idk if it was me haha.

MAN I LIKE HOW YOU HIGHLIGHTED EACH ENEMY, EACH HAS ITS PERSONALITY, IT MAKES A FUN GAME. I ALSO THINK YOU SHOULD LEAVE THE TRACE WITH THE SHORTEST DISTANCE, AMAZING WORK. HOPE TO SEE UPDATES SOON.

Thanks For Playing! :)

Pretty cool metroid vania leaning on the metroid side of things.

The spritework is nicely done, the lighting really adds to the atmosphere, and the music track is awesome and fitting to the whole stranded on an alien world theme.

My main issue would be the level design, as it felt a bit confusing, some areas i supposed loop back but when just going backwards upon one area i ended up in a different place not really understanding how, the area where you enter vertically is also a bit odd as i kept falling back down goind back and forth between rooms before managing to properly land after the map transition. Not really an issue but one thing i think felt missing and could be a nice addition is to have 8 directions to aim instead of 4.

Other than that the game has some undeniable qualities, and i really like some of the little details like the flying enemies telegraphing their attack by changing color ^^

Well done :)

Thanks for the heartfelt review.

hmm..... 8-directional aiming..... I actually never thought of that. I'll add that in the next update, along with controls for android and gamepad support.

Thanks for playing! :-)

No problem, and yep gamepad support would be a cool plus :)

Cool game!

The art style is interesting, and the music chosen fits really well the setting of the game, but there are some things that need to be fixed.

  • Going from one room to another is confusing, and it leads to getting lost even very early at the game
  • As I understand, your goal is to collect the 30 pieces that are hidden in the map, however when I get one, it doesn't increase the count

I've also read that the shooting should have been automatic, however I enjoy when you can spam a shoot button and spawn 100's of bullets very fast 😉.

Wait.... what platform did you play it with?
I'm so sorry, I didn't fix the parts counter bug on the windows version.
So, it's best played on your browser. Once again, sorry about that.
Also, about your first point, I had really hoped to not make the game confusing, but I didn't know how to build an in-game map at the time, sorry.

Nevertheless, thanks for playing my game.

I've played the browser version, is there a more recent update?

And don't worry, no game is perfect. I don't intend to dismotivate you with those points I shared, it is to give you feedback about things that you may have not seen as you've made the game.

About being confusing, it's not about the map, but where you spawn when changing rooms. It looks like when you enter a new room, you spawn at a default location instead of the door/entrance that you cross. By spawning where it corresponds, it would make it the map way better to navigate.

I hope I helped you!

Developer(+1)

Okay, I'll try to fix that in the next update. As for the default locations where you respawn.... it never did that before. Although, the game has that illusion of nearly being the same place even though they aren't.

Also, thanks for the feedback.

Music was cool, a little too loud, but nice, it was really nice, it took a while to get use to it but i liked it!

Developer(+1)

Sorry about the loud music, I'll reduce it in the next update. Thanks for playing.

The music was nice - enjoyed going insane speeds with the dash! fell out of the map a bunch of times (not using dash) I had a fun time with it, but was a little frustrated with the shooting by the end - would have preferred mouse aiming and shooting.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. I never knew the bug I decided to keep turned out to be a fun feature.
As for the shooting, you have a point there, maybe I should have made it a turbo kind of shooting instead of a single tap kind.

Although, I thought about making the shooting more of a mouse control, but.... I had no idea how to map out the controls for the other abilities like the launch ability.

Anyways, thanks for playing my game, hope you'll come back to beat it at the end, since that's where the real fun begins.

I enjoyed this entry.  Character movement was fun. I didn't beat the game, because I had a little too much fun absuing the dash ability lol. Overall, not a bad game entry. Congrats on finishing and good luck!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Also, had no idea the dash bug turned out to be a fun feature.
I hope you come back to face the boss, that's where the fun also begins. :-)

Once again, thanks for playing!
