Hey all, This is pretty solid stuff. Keep it up if you're so inclined--the full version would probably be worth $ to me, and maybe some other folks too!

Finally got to my windows pc to play this 😅
The graphics and sounds are sick, great job on that.
The controls and the inventory where a bit confusing to me, took me quite a while to get going, until I found the controls menu. Nevermind, I just realized, I didn't even get to the proper itch page with the controls table, because I downloaded it directly from the submission page🤦
Also an impressive amount of npc's to talk to, which is nice!
Great game all in all!
Put simply, amazing game. I'm a huge fan of Cave Story and it hits all the sweet spot.
Really the only bad thing about it is it should have been longer - we want more!
This 100% speaks to my biases in the best way possible. I used the Momodora games and Cave Story as a reference point for the style and gameplay of my own project, but I didn't exactly accomplish the level of overall polish I wanted in the allotted timeframe. This however feels super polished and great to play! I personally loved every second, and I can't wait to see more updates from this project!
Great job! There's a lot of awesome things here, art, music, gameplay, story, etc.
The only little nitpick I can think of would be the room where you get the knife, maybe telling the player somehow that the knife can give a little jump boost? (I was able to figure it out quickly, but it could be frustrating).
Things I Like:
- really good art direction
- music works great
Things I Would Change:
- communicate better the kickback jump effect - I had no reason to think that was how to get out of this room, I had already broken blocks to get through a “wall” I got stuck as below, then retried to see if maybe it was just a bad soft lock
Broken Stuff:
- got a few times were the music just stopped playing for a while
Ah, the fan favorite of course, and well deserved so. graphics are simple and amazing, music is super chill and gameplay is top notch.
Sad thing it's still so short, but it sure is a blast for even how little it is. There really isn't anything to complain about, the most I have to even barely pretend to be a nitpick is that I wish the Npc on the save room had more flavor dialogues.
so... yeah
Amazing game, really enjoyed aesthethics, music and sounds, combat felt nice, world was very interesting, tbh i have nothing to complain about, 10/10 amazing title
This was a real gem!
Love the music, very cool. One per area at that, altough it did stop playing after a while, and I never heard any music underwater.
Those girls with spinning blades were very hard to fight. Maybe it's easier with controller? Or I suck at platformers...
Fun with another game with charge-up mechanism :D
Great entry, very well executed!
That was an amazing game! I didn't expect anything else from the guys who made moonlit though.
Ridiculously high quality, even outside of a jam context. I would happily pay money for a full version of this. Can't wait to play the rest!
I really liked it, simple mechanics, fun to play, and the genre is well applied. It reminds me a little of Celeste. Hope to see more of the game in the future.
