Great art, music, and sound. I'd like to see a sound for the shooting and tail grab. Speaking of, the tail grab was such a cool power, though it definitely should have a distance and line of sight check. I found myself either glitching between rooms when using it or completely skipping rooms by grabbing points in other rooms. I also think lots of the enemies don't really attack, like the flying ones who just kinda stand in your way, often out of reach. I couldn't make it past labs though, the jumping-shooting enemies were too aggressive making it really hard to get through.

Oh yeah, and I really like the tail. I think it is so cool, and I love the attacking animation with it. Great entry, nice job :D

Awesome game! Fighting was feeling good. I had little problems with fps on my browser, but it wasn't a big issue. Love those flasks which have to be destroyed to go further :D Overall I very enjoyed your game! btw, probably found some bug :D (i died from this red thing and then my tail started partying :D)

Great! I love the character animation, ambiance and art.

I don't have too much to add besides what people have said below, but here's what I've got:

- The environment feels slightly too big and hard to navigate without a map

- The character feels somewhat floaty, but it works well enough

- the 1st eyeball boss was hard to predict, mostly because it seemed there wasn't a pattern to the attacks

- (can't remember if the boss had unique music, but could be cool if not)

I love the game and it's aesthetics, the art's great and the atmosphere is on point. I love the ambience and sound design a lot! The tail pulling and lunging abilities are a bit broken though... with the tail you can often clip through walls, and with the lunging you can fly forever. breaking the game a bit was fun in of itself, but it was disorienting at times. also, I couldn't figure out how to trigger the end of game sequence after collecting all of the little guys. Great game though!

I really like the looks of the game, the wiggly physics based tail and the upgrades you have going on. But I found myself lost over and over in the first area, as there were no visual landmarks to base my approximate position on. I didn't find fighting enemies any helpful so i skipped past most of them. Once I got tail grab, I discovered that you can just ignore walls and phase through them, which kinda broke some of the later levels. All in all I had fun playing through the game, good entry!

Superb presentation. Atmospheric music and lighting, original main character sprite, and a clever take on the theme. I felt like a cuddly little Xenomorph scurrying around the Nostromo.

The controls are very responsive and smooth.

The platforming decisions are interesting, and exploring the station is fun, but a level this size really does need a map. I traversed back and forth again and again until I felt that I'd seen every turn several times, and I realized I couldn't figure out how to progress. :D (Thematically, of course a creature like this wouldn't use a map as a tool, but it would probably be better at keeping a map in its own head than, oh, a creature like me. :D )

We were very inspired by Nostromo! muted color pallette taken from the first film. great that you recognized it!  Thanks for the feedback

Easily one of the most polished games I've seen this jam... The only design issue I see right now is that enemies don't drop anything... so there is no reason for me to fight them... I can just skip past them if I ever get the chance to do so.

Yes, this is a big omission.  I myself in games really like gaining experience and pumping and collecting.  a lot went under the knife to get out on time.  thanks for the feedback!

That's a really neat one, it looks very pretty and has some good music. The gameplay itself is also very fun and fluid for the most part, I specially love how punchy the tail whip feels, every time this thing hits feels super satisfying.

It is still pretty buggy unfortunatelly tho, specially when it comes to tail pulling. I got my character targetting off-screen pin-points from other rooms way too often, wich made traversing places where I needed to grab onto them harder than it should've. Not to mention those are also kinda cheesable since sometimes it call pull you throught walls. I bet this could make for some fun speedrun strats, but because of how often this happens it actually ends up as a nuisance sadly.

The map is also way too big for it's own good, I got myself wandering around completely lost way more than I was actually engaging with the game, and it really doesn't help that most rooms are just really long corridors and the enemies doesn't respawn until you die. In fact, this actually prevented me to finish the game, since after I rescued all the wormies, the big edgy eye from the beggining just gave me a pat in the back and nothing else, and from there I really had no clue where to go next. I really don't believe this was the actual ending of the game, but if it was, it certainly didn't feel like it.

also some minor nitpicks that aren't so glaring: The purple space dudes can shoot me from off-screen, wich feels kinda cheap; And the big laser ball boss feels really weird, I don't think it's really possible to evade his attacks quick enought witouth relying on rng lol.
I also got quite a few noticeable fps drops, so I guess you should take a look at that too.

Overall it's still a pretty solid entry tho, I had a lot fun while I wasn't just walking around. Really loved pogoing those buff-bots in specific

I absolutely adore the strangeness of the presentation, beautiful stuff 馃憤

Things I liked:

-The art is amazing

-The music for every zone is cool

-The variety of enemies and areas

-The Metroidvania genre is well applied (which kept me going to finish the game)

Things I didn't like:

-After the first zone, the map becomes overwhelming

-> Everything just seems to be chaos or senseless areas with enemies that can be just ignored

-> The map was so big that I only got to explore a fraction of it before finishing the game, which made me lost interest at the end)

-The grappling hook is completely bugged

->  I get that is really hard to polish such a broken abilitie like that in the little time we had, but you could get to any zone through floors and walls without even seeing what was happening. (If you are doing it with raycast, it could be fixed by making the tilemap collide with the same layer as the raycast and grappling points are, and then only make it work if it's colliding with a certain "group")

->  It only worked 1/3 of the time, not sure why, sometimes in the air, sometimes in the floor, it just didn't work, if it was some kind of cooldown, some HUD showing it would be really cool

THANK YOU for taking the time give a review. I really appreciate it!

The art and music are very good. The game starts out kinda slow, but picked up once I started going through the second area. The platforming and combat challenges are very fun in that area. My only gripe with the controls is that I couldn't see where the tail pull was targeting, and sometimes it tried to pull me through the floor. Overall though, this is a solid entry. Well done!

I'm guessing the red sawblade things are supposed to be obstacles? Because they don't even deal damage, you can just walk through them unscathed.

Other than that potential bug, cool stuff. Liked the music especially. c:

Oh yes! I accidentally published the game with an old version, the current one should not have that bug. Thanks for playing!
