Enjoyment 3.5/5 - Although I love the concept, the execution is a bit messy with how random it can be for what flies appear and what fish appear in regards to your list. A bit too much RNG in my opinion and could have been remedied with just more of each on screen at once. But it's still fun enough to do the basics of fishing and gathering bait.
Concept 5/5 - I love the idea of needing to get special bait in order to catch certain types of fish, I could see something like this easily making for a full game. And also I'm a sucker for fishing games, what can I say?
Presentation 4.5/5 - Love the art and character designs for this, very cute stuff and the game overall has nice relaxing vibes. Only thing I can say is I wish there was a bit more music throughout even if it was subtle.
Use of Limitation 4/5 - Day system works very nice for the game loop and fits the them, so points here!
Overall, a nice relaxing experience I would love with a few tweaks made to it. But still great as it is!
Played and rated! If you have time, please rate my game too.
Really like the art and the overall vibe of this -the art is beautiful too! Very polished and great use of the limitation too! Awesome job on this! :D
The art was cute. I wasn't able to found out how to fish properly but at the day 2 I finally did. The game is really relaxing
One of the more fun fishing jam games I had an honor of playing. I liked the premise a lot. Fishing with your grandma is so chill, reminded me of days when I went to fish with my family back in the day when I was younger.
One thing that bothered me is that I had no feedback when the fish got caught. Some wiggling or sound effects could've done wonders in that regard. Overall, great game!
There was actually a plan involved to draw a bobber at the water line, but I couldn't figure out the complicated math involved in making sure it was always in the right place relative to where the fishing line (which is a purely graphical thing and has no physics) meets the water.
I'll probably try to include it in a future patch.
Thanks for the feedback!

Very wholesome and fun. visually the game looks great, I really liked multitasking trying to fish and catch the different bugs flying around as well as having the list of fish to catch to give me an objective.
Awesome work, well done!!!
Hmm I cant really play the game effectively, scrolling scrolls my screen down every time I try.
Thats probably my browser settings fault or something.
The game is very clever tho! catching your bait is such a cleaver fishing game mechanic.
The visuals are so wholesome and sweet.
Really fantastic work
You can also use <R> to reel your line, so I encourage you to give it another go if you'd like.
I didn't anticipate the screen scrolling when I implemented that feature. That was kind of silly of me. :P

Gave it another go! I am very dumb for missing that R works.
Really really awesome entry, the double loop is very satisfying catch the right bait to catch the require fish.
I loved the very minimal animation to the rod swing, it had alot of oomf and personality
Main thing I would have liked to see but is outside of the scope of the jam is some way to use the extra fish, maybe a shop of some sort. But thats unrealistic for a jam.
For a jam version tho I do wish there was more feedback/it was more clear when a fish was close enough, felt somewhat like guess work at times. That or a easier way to select caught bait, maybe have the menu be clickable so you can just click caught bait and it auto hooks it. Just a thought to smooth out the loop, just feels like the mouse could have done more.
But again, overall really fantastic game! clear and pretty visuals. Relaxing and fitting audio. And a fun game loop.
You nailed it!
Fantastic work
These are great suggestions. If I polish this out and extend it to a complete game, I'll take all of this in mind.
Thanks for giving it another try :)

Relaxing fun, and nice details like the sunset development. That’s a very nice touch!
Thank you! The sunset transition is something my artist and I are both very proud of.

Love the idea of catching your own bait!
Big fan of the idea already, though i may be biased having made a fishing game too that this was just a very fun concept! Was nice to see how we both approached things with the same core idea of fishing.
I feel like I'm dumb since I didn't know how to catch fishes but aside of that I really like this game I like its artstyle and its chill amosphere, very good!
That's okay! You're encouraged to take the entire day to experiment with different baits&fish to see what works, so continue fishing even if you catch all three from the list.
Granny will give you hints occasionally.
It's definitely not your fault - The game is a bit difficult at first.
Thanks for playing!

Kept using the mouse wheel and scrolling the whole page 😂 until I realized you can use R. Great game!
Oh... I didn't think about that. :S
Very cute and relaxing game! I like the day cycle mechanic :)
Very pretty and chill game! Sorry but I felt a little lost when trying to figure out which bait is for which fish.
You're encouraged to use the whole day to experiment with bait & fish combinations, even if you catch all 3 early.
Also; keep an eye out for Granny to give you hints! She'll give you 2-3 hints a day, usually.
I will concede that hooking the fish is kind of inconsistent and hard to feel out, so if I continue to support this game I'll probably tweak the minimum hook distance.
Thanks for your input!
