Great job on this one! The 2 puzzles I liked the most were the tombstone one and the cauldron one, because they made me think. I absolutely love riddles and because of that I may be biased haha, but I was eager to get a piece of paper (or rather a notepad) and figure it out.

The narrative part of this game is very well written, and the ending cutscene is great.

(spoilers) Poor Nina.

About the other 3 puzzles, the one with the rocks is good and very nice as a first puzzle, the one with the lamps could have less lamps (IMO), and the maze is the only one I didn't like. Mostly because instead of teleporting me to the beginning, when I lost I got back to the main menu, which was anticlimactic. As I knew all the answers I played it again (and saved this time, before going into the maze) and got through it. The movement of the bats is not very intuitive and sometimes they get stuck, it seems.

Other than that, it was an awesome experience, and the mood of the game is fantastic.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it. From the recent comments it seems that the maze section is next on the chopping block for upgrades :D

Its neat seeing so many narrative takes on the limit, and this one was done quite well to boot!

The puzzles where actually really fun to solve, though I did need a piece of paper for them haha.

Had a very strong spooky vibe. Not sure what it is about the silence and text explaining your death that spooks me so, but hell it works on me well.

Was not a fan of the maze personally. The enemies just felt like they would get stuck. And sometimes block the path for a long while if there was 2-3 of them in one spot. made the maze take quite a bit longer for me.

but really amazing work! and suck a sad spooky story

Thanks for the feedback! I knew the maze had that issue, but I didn't really have time to fix it haha. I plan to make it less random in the future (maybe they'll only move when they have lime of sight)

And thank you for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

This was a very mind-provoking game, I definitely enjoyed tackling all the puzzles. The art and colors of the game really blend together, and the music does give that feel of the inevitability that draws near as you progress.

The only issue I noticed is on the boulder puzzle if you move some around just right, which isn't hard to do, you can block off the exit and no longer progress.

I definitely did enjoy that light puzzle though, but all the puzzles themselves were finely made and executed.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable game even if it's short, I wish you the best on any future jams or projects.

Very interesting! The art is exceptional and the gameplay is tight. My suggestion is for the Effigy of Darkness puzzle, to give the player some sort of clue to the order of lamps lit. The "trial and error" method can get frustrating, similar to Lieutenant Surge's gym puzzle in Pokemon Yellow. The rest of your puzzles give hints which makes them far more of a puzzle/riddle and less of a memory game.

I really like the art used in this game, only a few colours. but great.

A novel take on the theme, I really liked the concept and the vibe of the game. The soundtrack also worked really well with the atmosphere you created. I wasn't completely sold on all the puzzles but the feel of the game made up for that and kept me pulled in. Nice work!

Wow, this is really cool, maybe the best I've experienced so far.

The game fits the theme perfectly, the music is perfect for such a game and the designs are also very beautiful.

Well done.

Finished the game and absolutely loved it!! Very fitting use of the theme story-wise. The puzzles were also super fun but I can see for some how they may be a little on the hard side. Regardless, lovely work!!

A really nice game, though I couldn´t figure out how to solve the cauldron puzzle. I just couldn´t find any hints on how to arrange the ingredients. Same goes for the lamp puzzle.

Developer

Thank you! The hint for the cauldron puzzle is a poem on the wall of the room. The lamp puzzle is purely trial and error/memory based.
