I really like how interconnected the limitation is with the story and the gameplay (and I learned about a new medical condition too). And the art and music bring the whole thing together very well to make the game feel really complete.  Balancing-wise it felt like the chairs could have a bit more influence (maybe like 25% more?) to separate them form pinching more, but overall gameplay was very solid. Nicely done!

(spoiler) Also, I'm extremely glad Mr. Walton got justice

Good! Really enjoyable :D

Really creepy, but I don't really need to watch the intro cutsceen every time I die.

Amazing artstyle that left a great first impression, the gameplay was a bit confusing to me at first, but thanks to the tip I got the hang of it and learned to appreciate the limitation. Very good job.

I really enjoyed this one! The story illustrations are wonderful. The gameplay felt unique and the music complimented the theme very well.

Great job!

Is this a detective game?

Please give my game a try if you have some time!

The hand drawn pixel art in this is absolutely unreal, feels genuinely unsettling and Lovecraftian.

Really cool aesthetic and narrative!

Hmmm....good art!

Love the art style and the overall feel and look of the game, nicely polished and a good difficulty curve, got it on the 2nd try when I realized that we can use the furniture too!

a good jam entry!

First of all, I LOVE the artistic direction and your use of color in this jam. I also thought you had a very creative use of the limitation. I hadn't thought of it, but "fighting yourself to stay awake" is definitely a great interpretation of the limitation. I don't think I've played a game like this either.

That said, I found the game pretty difficult. I was speeding to ram myself into a table and still didn't really make it. I think you could easily expand on this idea and make a great little game by tweaking the difficulty balance and adding more detail. Congrats on a lovely entry!

Thanks for trying it out. I’ve got to agree that we lacked playtesting.

Still, the mental image of the player running into a table the moment he entered the building made me laugh.

It was very fun to do the illustrations for it, im glad you enjoyed that aspect!

Not sure if it was difficult or if I'm just bad, but I think it fits the horror atmosphere very well^^
I didn't get too far but I really liked the plot and the visuals really brought the game to life!

It's a little tricky,  I definitely appreciate your comment! I added a tips section to the description to hopefully help new players!

I see! That makes a lot more sense now, thank you ^^ Will give it another go in just a bit. Need to know the story.
