The spinning horses was hilarious! it's funny how something so simple can set the tone for the rest of the game. This game really sets a good foundation for a potential wacky medieval racer. I wonder, was it difficult making the AI racers move along the track? I have always wondered how racing games do that, and further more with adapting difficulty. Oh well, this game was great, I had a lot of fun playing it. Well done! :-D
thanks for playing! for the other racers we just shoot some raycasts down, and if there is no road, we steer the other way. just had to tweak some values like steering intensity and reaction time for better results. biggest problem is that they have no clue which way they are supposed to go, so they can get lost quite quickly, but it worked for a small jam game.

Thanks! The explosion just before you land beneath you (so you don't land on other carts and can get moving fast) was inspired by A Lack of Time and Lazy Game Design.

Oh, also when I played last night the balloons wouldn't pop when I shot at them.
Yes that is a bug sadly, the balloons can be popped with the laser (right click) though (:
