The game is really cool ! I like the fact that we have time to plan and collect rock and wood. The combinaison of the wall + attack is a really good idea too !

Thanks! I did try to make a difficulty curve, so in the beginning the enemies leave you alone for a little while so that you can use your walls later instead of just building it as as soon as you get enough materials for that. I wanted the player to be able to get rid of the enemies behind the walls so that's it's more fair ^^

I'm glad you enjoyed it, it's nice to have such feedback! :)

I like this idea, also the dying animation ;)

Self-shooting towers would be a nice addition.

Developer

Thanks, I did take a while to come up with a simplified idea at first haha! ^^

For the animation I took like 20 minutes just to find that sound lol!

For the tower, I think it would make the game too easy, and it wouldn't fit very well in the environment.

I love the idea, for the moment it's probably too slow (both moving and gathering) ... like really :p Also jumping would be really nice to dodge a few enemies and add more dimension to the game ! I score like 256

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

For the speed of gathering and moving, it's due to the fact that the map is finite and to have a feeling of a desert in order to make resources a little bit more scarce. Otherwise, the game would be too short, but I understand it. I could give the player a greater speed and release a quick update but I'll see if more people are complaining about that before I do this. I think just setting the animation speed higher could make a placebo effect haha! ^^

About jumping, I decided not to add it even if it would be quite easy to do because the enemies do not follow the player, they just go left or right and that's it, so that's a technical mistake I made early (time was a huge factor), but in the end, to me the buildings are still balancing the game a little bit more for the player, it "replaces" the jump because he could still protect him from the enemies.

What do you mean by dimension?

The map is finite so that the game ends more quickly instead of surviving for hours on such as simple game and because the enemies are also spawning at the edges of the map. Again, I guess it's a game design mistake I did very early.

I appreciate your comment, it helps me a lot! :)

The idea its kinda complex and i really like it, good work

Developer

When I started the project, my plans were a bit too big even if I thought it was a very simple game, but I had to lower the goals a lot to get something done in the end, so maybe that's why it's a bit complex. But I'm glad you still enjoyed it! :)

Really cool game! But in the current state it was kind of hard to understand and play, some performance issues... But good job!

Developer

I didn't have time to make a real tutorial so I expected it haha! You have many things to memorize when you play it for the first time, but I hope you still adapted to it! (did you?)

As stated at the top of the page, the web version has some performance issues and I don't really know why. Let me know if it happened in the downloaded version if you did try it.  Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it! :)
