I was able to get all the upgrades but i could not find the ending. this could of course been a user issue on my part.
the transition animation through the fire was great, i liked that effect. had no issues personally with the inventory system. great work
i’m not sure how i did it, but i kept zero of an item in my inventory
Oh ok that's new..
I will take a look at it, thanks for pointing it out!
Cute graphics and animation! The marimba loop is fun but I can't help wondering if something chiptuney might not work too? I made the music and SFX for Hide and Squeak, if you'd like to collab at some point in the future, that could be fun!
I liked how you used the limitation, the cat is cute and the items were all really clear and readable. The idea of a combat-less dungeon focused on exploring is nice, I'd love to see a bigger game with this sort of concept!
Concept and progression through several upgrades is kinda neat, but the only stuff I do as player is walking around and grinding for stuff to walk around more. Any kind of skill required would have been nice. Examples: Enemies or traps to dodge, pushing block puzzles to solve, secret passages to find or something like that.
But hey it's a gamejam I am quite sure something like that was planned but the time limit did not allow it^^
The concept is cool, but I got too frustrated with the "blind" part of the dungeon, the vision you gain when you buy the ability isn't much.
Music is attractive! And textures are well polished.
One bug: when selling gold and bone, the bar is not reset immediately.
Liked the fantastic-ish way the caracters look! Added reallu fairy tale atmosphere. And yesss, of course I want to enter the dungeon, why would you ask?
Cool game liked progressive way you level up. <:
I enjoyed the concept of a dungeon crawling game where you don't fight. Was a relaxing experience because of that. Would have been cool to have other uses for the things you pick up so you have to make a choice between selling and upgrading.
Yeah that was part of the first sketch.. didn't have the time to make a crafting system :(
This was pretty ambitious for a short game jam! Fun and the simple graphics worked really well -i liked the main character's sprite a lot -awesome work! :D
Thank you!! I had so many ideas but coudn't make all of them in the time :)
I enjoy incremental games so I really enjoyed this game. Absolutely loved the visuals and I got to the end! If I was to say anything negative at all it would be that I wish it was either more challenging or that there was more to do in the game such as some npc dialogue or side activities or something like that if you wanted to keep it calm and avoid adding conflict to your game.
This is cool i will finish it later. (:
I loooooove these types of games!
I enjoyed making money, there could be more to buy haha. The controls were a little difficult to use and it was sometimes difficult to see the stones inside the dungeon, but a good game I managed to get to the end.
Makes good use of the limitation, and clever enough that I made it all the way to the end. I particularly enjoyed the darkness mechanic, though I do wish it wasn't required to benefit from the fire-walk (that is, the Fire-walking ability doesn't open any rooms that don't also have darkness, essentially requiring 2 upgrades to access them meaningfully). Also, The UI gets in the way of the darksight reveal circle, stunting its utility.
Expanding on what others have said, swapping from "i" to mouse is pretty awkward. The spacebar would have been the ideal candidate for this use-case, but making all the collectables buttons to be interacted with via the mouse would have also been more comfortable.
Otherwise, an enjoyable and relaxing little adventure. Good luck in the jam :D
Really like the concept of a calm game and expanding the amount the player can explore a dungeon. However, I wish there was more done with the concept. Maybe having the music evolve as the player got more upgrades, or having some upgrades make a larger impact. Cosmetic upgrades would also make for a nice addition!
Cute game, felt a little tedious I would have liked it a bit more with less having to repeat rooms.
Really love the music. Kinda disappointed bc the last item isn't diamond haha
Damn.. that's so much better :D
Well.. updates people updates XD
I really was hoping to have more of the game. Its super calm as you correctly said! Altough I would rearrange the buttons and avoid using the mouse inputs (was weird be swapping from "I" to mouse with my right hand). Besides that, I love it!
I'm very happy to hear that! I will probably work on the game after the jam too. And change the controls and add content to the game.
Thanks for playing :)
