Nicely done on your first game! I personally didn't mind the difficulty as once you start grinding notice yourself getting stronger after death it feels much more balanced. It was a nice moment of realization when I noticed my attacks doing more damage. I enjoyed the story set up and twist too.

Game has got some nice potential, I think it just needs is more content. Things like other spells maybe? I also enjoyed the boss fight, although maybe some other attack patterns would make it feel more challenging.

Overall, great work, I enjoyed playing.

Thanks so much!! Now i am so happy, you are the first one to notice that you get stronger after death hahahaha. I should make the level up more explicit.

I tried to avoid making a state machine for the character, so it made really hard to add more spells hahaha.

Thanks for playing.  Loved your game, my favorite so far.

Managed to get to the end by cheesing the little skeleton guys haha they seemed a little too powerful! I was also wondering what was causing so much damage and realized the spikes where somehow colliding with me, causing damage even though I wasn't really on them.

The fireball would also detect their colliders even though they weren't activated.

Overall, lots of potential here, I didn't notice any level up mechanics though

Thanks for the feedback!!

I didn't notice this bug before you mentioned it hahaha. The game has a level up mechanic after each death, but i should have make it more explicit.

Thankss again, loved your game :)

The sprites are great, and I like the setup of looking for your brother. In combat, it sometimes felt like I wasn’t able to avoid damage. For example, the spikes seem to collide with the entire player character, so you can hit them with your head, which, due to the perspective, shouldn’t be the case. Otherwise, it is a nice entry and impressive first published game.

Very difficult for me to play, but imagining it was a little bit easier, I liked the setting and music and felt like spending a bit more time there.

Oh, thank you so much!

By the way, if you were to polish the game a bit with the difficulty and add more story and levels, I’d love to try that out!
