Doom memories came back to me playing this game. Had fun playing it, first time I had to die in boss fight because I didn't have more bullets xD.
I would make pickups dissapear quicker, because sometimes I would pick them, and there were still there some seconds after that, so I didn't know if I had picked them or not.

Despite of that, good job! :)

Wow, finished from the second try without buying any upgrades XD

I thinks I'm just too good XD

Nice DOOM-like gameplay, but render distance for the mobs is too far. And doors in the lobby don't have colliders.

Well done, fun to play!

Reminds me of Doom! I can see enemies in the dark tough! Cool submission!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah we needed to use Universal Render Pipeline but didn't realize that until late.

I wan't expecting to have that much fun on this silly game.

A horror-themed roguelike is actually a really cool idea ! Great job !

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I still have fun playing it haha. Looking forward to expanding it.

Best FPS I have played so far in the Jam.

Nice controls, nice aiming, nice mouse sensitivity.

The AI is an area with improvement possibilities, but inn overall it was decent for a 48 hrs game.

Loved this game!

Developer

Yeah the AI only consists of a raycast that has to be in line of sight, hope to add some pathfinding to the enemies that chase you in a future update.  Thank you for playing!

I really like the limited vision and exploring for the portal while having to kill enemies along the way. The art is nice and the faces honestly scared me when I first teleported into the level haha. The limited ammo was annoying at first because of how many shots it took to kill the enemies, but I started to just run past the enemies.

I made it to the boss and killed him, I don't know if it was a bug but the game just closed after I shot the last bullet into him so I don't know if the game crashed or if it's supposed to be like that. Anyways overall a good game!

Developer

Thank you! The darker environment was a late change but I think it was a good one. And yes, I didn't have a lot of time to implement a dying animation for the boss or a final teleporter so it just kind of ends the game haha.

Submitted(+1)

The game kinda lacks gameplay , the enemies are easy to dodge for a rouge-like, they take many hits and pretty much just stay there to be shot at. I still like the artstyle and go back in time when i was playing doom. The song was nice and , at least , I didnt get any bugs , so its costructed well. I liked the atmosphere of being with aliens that puke mucus with coronavirus at u. Good job! xDDDD

Developer

The enemies will most likely get a speed increase in an update and be more aggressive in general in order to increase difficulty in an updat coming later. Thank you for the constructive criticism! Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted

Enemies are easy too easy to dodge but the map being so small doesn't really require me to conserve ammo. Went past all the enemies in lv 1 and 2 and just unloaded my mags on last boss.

Still think its a solid game, it has great graphics and the if a bit more balanced, it could make for a great survival fps!

Developer

Thanks! We didn't have enough time to fine tune everything with play testing at the end but we look forward to fixing it and adding more!

Submitted(+1)

I liked how you had to conserve ammo making this a feel more like a survival game
the enemies are pretty easy to doge and you can mostly go around the room just by walking and avoiding attacks

Developer

Thank you! We didn't get much play testing in before the deadline. We're looking forward to fixing things after the voting!

Cool game.

Developer

Thank you! We like it too haha

This thing rocks! I have been playing the original Doom recently and this has mad vibes of that. I want to play more! What did you make this in? It looks sweet. I love the music and making that for the jam is impressive as hell. Honestly one of my favourites of the jam.

Developer

Thank you! I did use doom for some inspiration with the sprite style and the music. With a space theme of course.

Saw your streaming post. Did our game make it on the stream?

Submitted(+1)

I think I played it off stream but I would be happy to play it on stream later. Hop in the chat and let me know you're there. If you sub on twitch you can get a notification when we go live!

Awesome! Also it was made in Unity

Submitted(+1)

Amazing! I really enjoyed this a lot, the art and gameplay were top notch. The boss kicked my ass, but I'll get him yet! Awesome work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The art and music was me. Coding and whatnot by my brother.  The boss was definetely a new challenge and fun to make.

I like the pixel art, this game remind me the first doom :D love that good job !!

Developer

It was a big inspiration, we were going for more of a dead space style than a demon/doom style haha. Thank you!

I had a lot of fun with this game. The gameplay is enjoyable and the graphics and sounds are really nice. The only problem I had was with the balancing. I thought the base stats, especially the speed, were a little too low and the powerups can make it way too easy. Still very awesome for 48 hours.

Developer

I'm gonna try and tone the upgrades down and maybe make the levels longer or more of them. Didn't have a lot of time for balancing. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+1)

You made a rogue like under 48h.... Damn ! Great job! I love everything about this game.
- The gameplay is cool, it's working well, I didn't die so I couldn't try the upgrade system. It's seems to be really balenced, good job.
- It's really innovative. I don't have any exemple of an FPS and a Rogue Like mixed together.

- The art is reaaly great! I love the use of sprites in a 3D world. Monsters are disturbing, but in the good way.

Great job! Hope you will update it!

Developer

I plan on rebalancing it so it's harder to win on the first try,, a lot of people say it's easy but not enough ammo. I couldn't think of many examples either so I'm glad you liked it!

Fun Game! I think its really cool that you made a roguelike in 48 hours.  I also enjoyed most of the gameplay. my only problem is that I ran out of ammo pretty quickly and couldn't find any more.

(Sorry to ask but would you mind playing my game?)

Developer

Thank you! This was our most complicated game yet for sure, I'm glad we made a finished product. I think I'm going to add ammo to the teleporter room so there is a consistent ammo and health  drop in every level. And I will play and rate your game!

Submitted(+1)

Nicely implemented, I liked the pixel art, the gameplay is well done too. I don’t know why, but I remembered the first version of Doom :)

Please check my game and I would appreciate if you will rate as well ;)

Developer

Thank you so much! Doom and Delver were heavy inspiration for the art style. And I'll definitely play your game!

Submitted(+1)

Old Skool style liked it! I did find it a bit dark though.

Developer

The darker lighting was a late change, was hoping to get the enemies also shaded to give the game a scarier feel. I hope to fix it later!

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Cool game, but how does it relates to the theme? Also I was running out of ammo quickly, ending up searching for it just to shoot for a bit.

Developer

It's a rogue-like / first person shooter, the persistent upgrades along with perma death are what make it a rogue-like or a rogue-lite.

Submitted

Great!

Submitted(+2)

I liked the design of game. Enjoyable gameplay.

Developer

Thank you! Hoping to tweak some visuals and get the enemy sprites to have light affect them.
