It reminded me a lot of an old NES game I played. It was really fun, and challenging to get through the waves. At wave 3 I kinda gave up because there were so many enemies.
Some points to think about:
The enemies seem a little bit over powered since they dont make any mistakes.
Your health doesn't refill after a wave, so you wont make it that far even if you do finish another wave.
Thanks! Yes, Battle City, it artwork influcenced a lot. And also yes, those are nice features to add.
Great implementation of mechanics! Feels like a cover based shooter in 2d :D I really enjoyed the game)
Thanks! I appretiated that!
Very well done on remake the WoT mechanics.
For me, the enemies are too strong that they always aim at player's tank. Even they are out of the screen.
The BGM is very exciting but it's too loud compare to the gun shots sound effect.
Thanks! I'll have the AI thing in mind for my future projects. And sorry about the sound effects, I literally downloaded and added them 30min before the deadline, couldn't tweak them!
Never played WoT personally, but I did enjoy it. I felt you captured the mechanics perfectly, and the SFX for the gun shots were on point! I couldn't get past level 2, because I suck at keep my front to the enemy!
Well done, great entry.
Thanks! WoT is one of my favourite games. I'm grat you enjoyed my implementation of the mechanic!
Nice game, and i liked the soundFX. Maybe, i think, need some arrow in front the tank player to more easier to see where is the front
Thanks! You really surprised me that you liked the sound effect, I downloaded and added them 30min before deadline! And about the arrow, very true, I thought about that but I thought it doesn't need it, but I think I was wrong.
Well executed mechanic. As a game I wish you added some power ups or repair packs. With some I would of spent way more time playing!
Thank you! You're right! Adding power ups or repair packs could spice up and extend gameplay. I thought of that, but it was literally 20min before deadline. I might make a new version of this, but with more features and better polished, stay tuned!
