Very cool, just requires some polish. There were many instances of awkward navigating around switches, walking over ledges that would lead to my character getting a little buggy, and the character needs to be in the foreground for some interactions (such as standing in the doorway). Very good work!
Well done, I really like the potential uses of the mechanic, also I really liked the sound track and the art was also quite good for the given time :)
Some feedback maybe, I sometimes had a bit of an hard time to control the jump also it would have been cool if it was possible to jump after you are grapple to a wall :D
Overall really well done in the short time frame :)
Thank you Loktor for playing our game!
Right now we are working on the movement and jump since this is one of the most important parts in our game. I've been looking through some videos to get some ideas but will try to make this as smooth as possible ^^.
Jump after grapple is definitely on our to do list. After the movement update we will work on making the grapple more smooth and interesting, since it should resemble a rope and those don't usually go in a straight line.
Thank you for the feedback, we really appreciate it!
I love hand drawn games! You did a good job on the animations! I liked the Overwatch mechanics too, this was very creative! I'm also curious about the story. There are evidences of some kind of rituals, I was expecting some monster to suddenly show up and kill me XD
Great entry! You just need to work more on collisions, and this will be great!
Hey Sayu, thank you for trying out our game!
I am actually working on the collisions today ^^ . I think it has something to do with the tile seams, so gonna try to fix that when I can.
We didn't really have time to get into the story, but it has to do with the other person in the thumbnail. We already planned it out for the most part and will work on that in a later update.
Thank you for the feedback!
I like the mechanic twist and the beautiful art. How many levels are there in total? I couldn't get past the last two spiders on the third.
I'm not sure is it an end when I back to the first room. Do I missing something?
The art is good. Very well done animations.
Background music is stick with the art. More sound effect will be better.
The controls are too slippery and fast. It's a bit difficult to land a jump on a single cube.
Overall, it's very well done for a game jam game!
The art is really nice! The movement is a little bit slippery. The collision also needs some work, I managed to climb the vertical walls. By combining the hook and the collisions, I managed to fly outside of the map, it gave me a good laugh. Keep up the good work!
Nice entry. I found the movement controls way too fast, made some of the platforming a bit diffcult to navigate. But the use of Road Hog's hook was good. A bit awkward to use at the start, but I got the hang of it once I realised you need to really move your cursor over something you want to grab.
Charming art, and a fitting sound track. The level art was also very fitting.
Nice work to you and your team!
Hey Coder-Jet, thank you for checking out our entry!
Yeah, i'll have to agree on the movement speed. The next 3 weeks were going to be for bug fixing, but since we've done most of those already we will also be improving controls like that (Hook controls will be later on).
Thank you for all your feedback ^^
Congrats on your entry, here are some things I noticed:
- I like the music, its subtle but fitting
- Great art, but the tilemap has weird seams sometimes
- The hook mechanic is well implemented, feels a bit stiff though
- I've managed to get through all levels, so it's not too hard nor too easy, good job
Great theme adaptation, a well made game overall, keep it up :)
Thank you Mechaspear for playing our game and for leaving feedback ^^
This is our first time using tilemaps, we would like to try and improve the seams and find a better way for the next game jam.
I fully agree on the hook, we made the decision for it to go straight so that we'd have enough time for the rest of the game.
Hey Watita, thank you for the feedback ^^
I've noticed that the hook seems to be a bit too short (or the lever in level 2 a bit too far away).
It is still possible by getting a bit closer to the edge, but it is a bit too difficult. we'll try fixing most of the design flaws in the next update.
Thank you for playing!
