I guess it's pretty creative as a concept, but the novelty wears off rather quickly. Other than that, I don't really have much complains, the aesthetic and the music are great, the game is decent. Windows export doesn't work btw, no .pck file for godot export.

...and how the hell did I ran out of money against myself?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Noob mistake, I'll see if I can add the pck file.

Very relaxing game. Well-written dialogue. Fun gambling. I like gambling.

Developer

Thank you very much for the compliments!

Nice! I liked that you added humor into it. If i could make a suggestion, I would prefer not to have to walk back to "DEAL" every time. Maybe swap the QUIT with another DEAL, and move quit to somewhere else? That way its equidistant from any seat.  Cheers!

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion!

Simple and good.
Music was kinda to the left ear to me..
It would have been more fun to play with friends, but it's another level of development.

Well done!

Thank you! Yes, I would like to learn how to do multiplayer some day...

I was trying to do a poker variant for my jam entry, and I didn't even finish the hand evaluation part.  I'm impressed.  My feedback:

Negative:

the winnings should be higher than the loss fee. Your odds with AA against 3 hands is around 64%.  I'd say payout should be 4x the buyin. As a poker player who likes mindless poker games I lost interest as soon as I realized how bad the odds are.  Also, your buyin should be subtracted as soon as you deal.

Positive: I really dug the use of assets, the animations and the sound.

Good job.

Thanks for the feedback, valid points indeed. I ditched my first game halfway through the jam, but I have to admit I had worked out the hand evaluation logic years ago in another language, so that was easy-ish.

Hey fun game!

Very simple but i'never seen something like that.

If the story is expanded it could be even better since it's centered around the character^^

Keep it up!

Developer

Thank you!

I really like the idea of this and I think it could work as a game where you have a time limit and you quickly have to change seat to get the best hand (May not be what you were going for). Very nice :)

Developer

Musical Chairs meets Poker. I like the idea!

jajajaja poor little guy :`)

Congrats on your first game jam. A nicely polished poker game. I like that you can select the hand you want. It would be awesome if other players randomly joined and you had to pick the best hand before they did! Obviously outside the scope of a jam but an idea if you continue development.

Developer(+1)

That would be a great multiplayer version, thanks for playing and the feedback.

Funny idea, very topical. Ran nicely as well. only real issue was that the quit button did not work, and I had to refresh to stop the game. But that's only a minor inconvenience, still enjoyed it.

Thanks for playing! I noticed the quit button doesn’t work in webgl. Oh well

Oh damn clever, lost all my money against myself, man.

Developer

Thanks! Luckily you can give yourself more money...

Whoohoo! I did it! My first game jam: completed!
