Great entry.. was super addictive.
I'm amazed at what you built up. I really don't have any critique. The sort of vaporwave theming of the assets was really cool. I liked the different "spectators" that would pop up and commentate on your gameplay. It definitely made me curious what this was all about, which made the resolution on the win screen nice. And the way that each level morphed into the next was a super smooth idea! Well done!
Reading other comments, I personally felt that the movement was an appropriate challenge.
Thanks so much I love to hear you liked it!
Really nice polish and the screen overlay really works with the game, this game was a pleasure to play and the ending was ... interesting ;) definitely worth playing to the end and really fun.
Thanks a ton!
This game is really fun to play! I love the story line, the smooth flow of the game and the creativity involved here. Everything comes together beautifully. Well done!
Thanks so much!
One of the best from the jam I’ve played so far. Others have mentioned the jumping and that was a little tricky, but the visuals and sounds were amazing. I love the transition to the next level making it feel like you really are in the same room, no hard stop and reset. Also I laughed at a lot of the dialogue, especially the “this is how it has to be” or something to that effect. Great game!
Thanks so much I appreciate your kind feedback!
Fun game and I like the look of it too! The player felt a little too slippery, but fun experience overall.
Well, I'm a cannibal now. Thanks!
I liked this game a lot. I forgot for a moment that I was seeing the same assets that the rest of the games use, really nice use of the assets!
Only think I want to mention is the character's controls, they weren't too responsive and I think the majority of the time that I died was because the controls didn't do quite what I wanted, but the rest was really good! congrats!
Thanks so much! Yea I think the controls were the weakest part I must do better on those in my next jam.
I'm now one of them!
Jokes asides great game man!
Only issue from game was the double/triple jump that felt a bit weird
Everything else was super good^^
Thanks so much, a few people have mentioned the movement I definitely wish I'd gotten a little more polish on that XD
Great transitions! The controls are a little slippery, but overall really well done!
Thanks so much, I really enjoyed OBAKE as well and seeing all your posts in the discord!
Thanks!
This game has such cool visuals, such good game play, such good story and so many cool details. This is an incredible game for the jam
Thanks so much I appreciate your kindness!
I am food. Praise the room!
Awsome style, overall a very polished look and ambience. It takes a while to get used to the double jump, the timing for the second hit feels weird. I like the funny comments of the other animals, but I expected some surprise at the end, some twisted ending...
I like the overall look of the game and concept of a changing room that tests animals , but I found the controls very hard to get used to , it feels very floaty and the jump has no weight to it .
The textboxes and the ID of the chicken are a nice touch to sell the story.
overall not bad
The art direction is amazing, all the sounds fit perfectly and the music is really good. Your game has such a high level of polish, it's amazing.
My only grievance is with the controls, which are way too slippery for me. Sometimes just turning around made my character slip and fall from a platform. The jumps also seemed a bit random, like making the exact same jump twice would not get me the same result.
Still one of the best game I tested for this jam though, congrats!
Thanks for your super kind words! A lot of people commented on the controls so I wish I would have player-tested them before submitting. I really appreciate your feedback :D
I found getting used to the controls took a weirdly long time, but the rest of the game kept me engaged enough to keep going to the end
Thank you!
Very polished game with neat graphics and nice music. Well done! Good idea to have some kind of narrative going. I liked the filter and colors a lot :)
Two points that could be improved:
Good job!
Thanks very much, I will definitely pay better attention and playtest the controls more on my next game!
I needed 10 tries for the first level, but after that I think I got the hang it. Really good looking and polished game!
Thanks so much!
Loved the look and feel of this game. Almost too short lol, what happens after this chicken fattens up?!
Haha thanks so much!
Beat it, really cool game! The graphics and sound design was excellent, I liked the tv lens effect. The level transitions were really slick too. There were a few things that felt awkward about the game however. The controls felt very loose and the platforms with curved edges didn't help with that. It was also jarring when the character can't move in the first few seconds of the level even though it's on screen. All in all very visually pleasing, stylistic, and fun game though!
Rad visuals and dialogue. Controls feel a bit weird however. The character feels like they are always on ice.
Thanks for playing I appreciate the feedback! I tried to balance the controls so it would feel fun but not too precise, but I didn't mean for it to feel like full ice XD
