Very fun game! I like the concept and replayability.

I loved the setting, especially the skybox. Nice Juice too!

Incredibly satisfying gun play (maybe the sfx could be a little bit better, but that's just nitpicking), your game is extremely well polished. Well done!

This is definitely one of my favourite games so far. I love the infinite generation; I expected it to drop some frames in the web version at least, but it ran super smoothly for the whole time. The game feels really polished; the post processing on the camera is tasteful, the gun feels nice and effective to shoot, and the enemies don't feel too hard. It gets increasingly hard as you start to run out of ammo and need to go and find more, which is where the world generation is a huge help. To improve, some extra world features or biomes would do well, and some more weapon types if possible. A 3D gun model would be nice as well. Really good job!

The game is really good, the mouse sensitivity for me was to high though. I wish the scorpions and the chests were a little more alike, because when at far distance both look same. It would've been also nice to have some sort of indication that an enemy is approaching behind you, other than that the game is very solid.

Thanks! You can actually change your mouse sensitivity with +\-, and if you play with headphones, enemies actually play a warning sound from behind you before they attack.

Oh! I didn't know that, sorry. Well, great job then!

Cool old school FPS game! The shoot mechanic was very satisfying, and also the game felt very responsive, which is really cool for an FPS!

The usage of the art assets is clever, I really felt lost in a desert, where I have to fight for survival.

The only criticism that I have: it is when a scorpion is behind me, and I want to turn in order to kill it, I couldn't, indeed, each time I was instant kill, which was a little frustrating.

Apart from that, your game is really nice!

The run-and-gun felt like a nice evolution of a sort of quick-shot arcade game. It was definitely a challenge, but fun!

I would say that the ammo felt a lot less common than the number of enemies. The game is at good place in terms of polish, so the next thing would be some balance. It seemed like I would run around quite a bit and not see a single chest. But maybe that means I need to conserve a lot more ammo, though it's a challenge when those dang scorpions are so quick with their little feet!

Dayumm that atmoshphere and polish is superb, The music and sfx are also fantastic and fitting. Did you make them yourself?

It is also really fun to play, although even when using headphones it was hard to tell if there is also an enemy behind you or if it's just the enemy in front of you. Maybe an additional visual indicator could help. I understand if that would worsen the imersion though.

There is a bug when you don't pick up the chest at the start you will not get bullets or a pistol from other chests. I would reccomend giving a pistol regardless of which chest you open first, or alternatively have the primary chest look different. Maybe a weapon-case

This is my favorite entry so far

thanks! i made the music and chest sounds with logic and the other sfx with bfxr. i actually made the chests like that on purpose, but i never expected anyone to notice lol. nice find

Controls really nicely and the use of sound is really good. I don't know if i got unlucky but i seemed to have 4 scorpions spawn around me every few steps, like find a chest, get attacked by 4 scorpions, rinse and repeat. I spent more time fighting than exploring the world.

Very fun, and love seeing someone make a 3d game with the 2d assets. The 3D sound indication worked well too, although I had a hard time turning around to shoot once one of the scorpions was on my tail. Satisfying combat though, great job!

Submitted(+1)

wow really enjoyed the game! The feedback you get when you shoot is really satisfying. Love that you get a sound warning when the scorpion's getting close to you.

Well done!

Great work!

Great done! The sound design is really neat, and the overall aesthetic is really cool!

I also made a FPS, but mine's a dungeon crawler set in space. Now that i see your game, I wish i could go back and change my skybox lol

Great job. the first time I was scared to death when suddenly the scorpion appeared behind me :)

Controls felt really realy good, shooting and hitting enemies especially. Amazing use of art assets and great sound design as well.

Wish that it wasn't so punishing though, maybe a few hitpoints to die and some health pickups hehe.

In my opinion you have a very solid base here. If you decided to expand it with more enemy types, weapons, maybe different levels I could see it being an awesome paid game.

"One more go" is what I kept telling myself every time I died. I probably would still be playing it if there weren't a million other games to rate. Really engaging and fun. Great job! :)

What the f. How do you even create this kind of game. I have spent way too much time on this and had loads of fun.

Nice game. The music is great. It was fun to play. Good work! :)

This game keeps me on my toes as I’m trying to listen for the footsteps! I was scared, looking left-and-right trying to spot scorpions in the night. The gunshots feel great and it has a very nice aesthetic. I guess it just needs more mechanics and content to be able to keep engaging the player for longer periods of time. Great work!
