WOW, exhilirating experience you've created here! I really loved the pace of everything and how tense it would get when things got close as well as the strategy of risk and reward of hitting your enemy as well as utilizing your items. I think this really nailed the cycling theme too not only thorugh the you being on a bike but also the cycling gameplay loop of fighting, waiting, fighting, etc. I think the only things that were a bit confusing was the purpose of speed (i might have just missed that) and I think it would be nice to have the HP bars above the players head and or increase feedback of how much damage was done and if you hit the body part, as well as maybe freeze them. I just found myself having to look up to the top corners everytime and lost focus of what I was actually hitting and sometimes was also unsure if I landed a hit. Still these are pretty minor issues and this product is crazy polished, fun and an original take on biking in a game. Plus a killer ending. Amazing job!

The Great Bicycle Tournament's itch.io pageHow does your game fit the theme?
Basicly it's jousting tournament but on BICYCLES!

Super fun and unique. mushroom + magnifying glass + click head with a lance seemed very broken lol. only problem i had was it was a little difficult to tell who's healthbar was who's, and who was hitting / getting hit, but overall really great job!
Fun little game. I enjoyed using a pitchfork and going for the head every shot lol. A + D bike controls hurt my hand though. Liked the art, would have liked to see custom music. Very original game and unique use of theme. Very cool Very cool
Amazing game, one of the most fun and polished I've played the whole jam. The enemies are obviously very easy, and honestly I couldn't exactly tell if spamming accelerate was doing anything, but I was still happy to win.
Thank you for feedback! When I tested the first versions of the game, few people were able to complete it to the end and I did not have time to adjust the difficulty, so yeah game feels a bit too easy. Spamming acceleration slightly increases your damage, but it also depends on the speed of the bike
It's actually awesome!
I believe you could make a full fledge game out of it!
tbh I expected to stab the iron mouse at the end as a plot twist, the banana peal took me be surprise
Really loved this game, it was really funny and the buckshot roulette-like items where a great addition !
And a fun and cute little ending, it was great !
THIS is the kind of game I love to play in a jam. Creative, concise and just well put together with great scope and a satisfying ending. You should be proud, hope to see it on stream!
i like what you have going on here! i'm not sure what most of the items did bc the text gets cut off on an ultrawide monitor. but other than that, it's a fun gameplay loop and a fun take on the theme. nice job!!!
Thank you for the submission!
Summary: This is definitely within my top 5 in regards to the actual theme and originality of the game. In style and general creativity, it was such a fun concept. A bicycle jousting tournament that dives suddenly into a numbers game for actual damage is so simple yet SO well executed. The actual game itself took a SIGNIFICANT nosedive in actual difficulty and playstyle after the first round, where some shrooms and a magnifying glass was basically enough to send a knight to meet God, but it didn't at all impact the enjoyability of the game's premise. With some further development, this is even a game I would outright buy to play. Was worried we were going to skewer Ironmouse at the end, but good thing we were spared that tragedy lmao. Awesome work!
Great game loop, very fun and funny ending. Gotta question those to-hit stats though they seem right outta the XCOM book of bullsh*t cos I was missing 70-80% chances to hit CONSTANTLY! Still won though GG stupid knights.
Haha nice ending!
Very neat game, everything worked so smoothly!
