Game Title/URL:  Solo Dragon:   https://zeropoint1221.itch.io/solo-dragon

This game was intended to be a mix of old school and modern graphics. It is my first time attempting to complete a project in unity until this I had only used c# a couple times and never really learned the nuances of it. I've learned a lot

I'd like feedback on:  How does it feel to play? Is it worth continuing on to a complete product? Does the art style land with you,or no?

I need help on: optimization and controls. Art feedback

Submitted(+1)

I like the art style, the enemy explosions work well.  Would prefer right ctrl for attack.  Assume there's just the initial starting area currently, would be great to see more levels and a variety of enemies.

Nice concept.  I managed to control two golems at once at one point somehow.  Might be simpler to use same key to posses/unpossess.

Love the pixel art and the way the shop works.  Wasn't sure why there were two exits on some levels.  It would be good to see some indication of what your different stats are and how they changed based on what you 'bought' from the shop.

Hi man, congrats on the game!

I really liked the music and overall aesthetic of the game, it is indeed a game you can play relaxing and having a good time. The UI and the mechanics/dynamics work well and are easy to understand. It is not really the kind of game I enjoy the most, but that didn't stop from seeing that you did a nice job!

Hello, and congrats on your game!

I believe your game did well its' main purpose, the only two things I would like to mention are:
_ The sound of the steps don't quite match with the surroundings, I think that an update to this would really improve your game!
_ Also, I was able to keep jumping while in air, I don't know if it was intended, but it didn't look like it was.

Again, congrats for your game!

Hi! First of all, congrats on publishing your game!

So I believe you could improve the UI/UX, as it was really confusing at times. At some point I believe it was intended, but maybe it was a bit too much. Also, for me the performance wasn't great.

Once again, congrats and keep developing!

Game Title/URL: Steal And Escape

Pitch/Information: The game is about you being inside a grocery store and you try to steal stuff and put them in your cart and try to escape. There is an alien who is part of a group of aliens who invaded our planet. You need to escape with your cart without being caught by that alien. There are still bugs in the game but I hope that you enjoy it.

I'd like feedback on:

- What aspects of the game that you think need improvements?

- Did you find the game scary and fun to play? or was it boring? if you found it boring I would love to hear why so that I can improve the game :)

- What was annoying to you while playing the game?

I need help on: Things that you think I can add to the game (new features/mechanics, game mods..etc)

Submitted(+1)

Hi man!

first of all, this was also my first game jam, and I would like to congratulate you on your game. I share the feeling of being able to complete a game for a Jam!

- Did you find the game scary and fun to play? or was it boring? if you found it boring I would love to hear why so that I can improve the game :)

I think the general darkness plays to the aesthetic of the game, as well as the music, that is unnerving and serves its purpose, I believe.

- What was annoying to you while playing the game?

Regarding the game, I didn't quite understand how to 'win' the game, as even when I got the groceries in the cart they kept falling from it. Also, the alien found me very fast most of the times.

Maybe adding a little bit more lighting, improving the mechanic of the groceries in the cart and some 'steps' to the alien as it approaches can really give your game an upgrade!

Once again, congrats!

Submitted

Thank you so much for your reply and congratulations to you too on completing your game for the jam!!

Amazing feedback on my game thank you so much. It's great that you didn't find it boring because it was something that I was very afraid of.

Game Title/URL: https://leo-calil.itch.io/void

Pitch/Information: A time-puzzle game, where you have to leave a maze with very little light and time runs short very fast if you loose yourself.

I'd like feedback on: 1 - Overall difficulty, I believe it may be too challenging. 2 The gameplay may feel too boring, so I would like to know that, if you felt challenged and entertained. 3 - Other than that, any other feedback is appreciated as well :)

I need help on: I struggled with the transitions and how to make the game 'smoother', lets say. I attempted to have it done at the end and it was harder for me than I expected.

Submitted

I like the idea of the game a lot. I found the game great to play but there are some points that I think can improve the game a lot.

Pros:

- The music was amazing I loved it. Even the whispers were great when you collect the lights.

- Simplicity of the UI and how text appears on the right whenever you collect a light.

- The overall graphics of the game, I found it to be very suitable for this game.

Cons:

- When I made wrong turns, sometimes I couldn't make it back in time to make another turn so I wanted to restart the game and there was no pause menu. Adding one would be great. I believe in Unity you would use "Time.timeScale = 0;" to pause/freeze the game.

- To me I found the level to be too big and not enough time to explore.

Areas of Improvements:

- For the main menu of the game you could improve it a little bit by adding some highlights on the text that you hover on. Making it glow a little bit or something like that.

- If you wanna keep the level to be big or maybe make the level bigger you could add some indications for the player on whether the player is going in the right direction or not. I was thinking maybe at first slow light flashes (the light on the player starts flashing a little bit. Maybe once every 0.5 seconds) and then the number of flashes increases the more the player keeps going in the wrong direction.

- You also could make more levels by making them procedurally generated.

Overall, I loved the game and found it entertaining and challenging :)

Submitted(+1)

Thank you for the feedback!

Regarding the points you highlighted, indeed both the restart menu and the amount of time available I considered while making the game, however, I was keen on making it challenging, and decided to launch it this way. I see now that it can get frustrating, and that is definitely a matter for improvement!

In a way, every light indicates you are in the right path, and some of them have tips on where to go, and where not to. That is also something that can be improved and I can think on something!

Again, thank you for playing 'Void'!
