How did you incorporate the theme and lore?
The interpretation of the theme is that you are a chicken and if you lay to many eggs without upgrading machinery then system won't be able to process it and therefore the system is broken. The interpretation of the lore is that someone dropped an egg into a farmer's hands and the egg hatched to become the player

Interesting game, full of potential
I like the goofy animation.
Great art and visuals. Only issue I noticed was that I couldn't see the upgrade prices on the UI so wasn't sure when I'd be able to upgrade.
I'm working on a patch so that the update prices are more visible, sorry that it was not clear how much each upgrade costed.
Hey! Sorry I don't have time to do a full written out review, but I did play your game on stream which can be found here(Check the description for timestamps to all the games if you want to just see yours):
Oh thank you, I really aprecciate your feedback. When the jam is over I will make it more clear how much everything costs.
Super cute art style, and the audio fit the aesthetic really well! The explaination of the upgrade system could have been better presented, though.
I agree sorry it wasn't clear.
Not at all, it can be really tough to express that sort of thing. You have an idea of how it all fits together in your head, then you not only have to make it physically work in the game, you have to present it in a way that other people can understand it!
That takes a lot of practice, and you're still pretty early on your game dev journey. Keep it up!
I liked the animation. I think the ui for the upgrades were missing the price as they worked sometimes and I could see it increased the egg count. I did like being able to hold the space down instead of clicking a lot since it gave my hand a break :P
First of all, I love the art style!!!
But Idk what is the ultimate aim of the game??
if it was a clicker game, Definitely might was interesting and upgrades are kinda waste!
The aim was to get all the upgrades
sorry it wasn't clear.
I just want to know if clicked help on the home screen.
Yeah I click it but I couldn't go back to main menu
Oh I should have made Esc more clear too
Cute little chicken animations ^^
I think I didnt understand the game, I would lay eggs and they fell but there was some upgrades on the right and I couldnt tell what they were for.
Yeah I added the hold space to balance it out a bit but now with all the feedback I think I will try go for a more traditional approach as well as making the click more exciting thank you for the awesome feedback to everyone who has replied so far.
Clicked for the cute chick! 🐥
overall interesting idea,
pressing and holding kinda felt boring, i was just waiting for the eggs to show up without having much control, I would have preferred to even click multiple times to escalate the egg laying process for example and be more engaged, and be able to purchase idle egg laying times
the upgrades were a bit enigmatic, wasn’t sure what they did or how much i had to pay for them so it was mostly a guessing game
love the pixel art & music!
Hopefully this feedback helps in a way, nice work! 🙌🦊
Imma Be Honest;
First I Couldn't Use The Upgrade Buttons, as Some One here Mentioned as Well
Second I couldn't Get it's Relation with the theme , if I missed something pls do inform me...
Cute chicken and the audio fits really well.
However I was not able to use the “Upgrades”. Not sure what I was doing wrong but it did nothing. I though it was the web version, but I downloaded the linux build and it was the same.
The upgrade weren't clear enough sorry. When you get to a certain amount off eggs you can spend them on an upgrade which increases your eggs laid each time or increases the capacity of how much you can upgrade the eggs laid at one time.
Simply holding space was a bit too easy for me. I think it would make a lot of difference if it would be more like a clicker, so you felt you where actually doing something. I didn't see the cost of the upgrades so I didn't feel I made any progress there. Ultimately, not having an idea of where the end was or how far I was from it made me exit the game before I completed it. :(
But even if I had some issues with the mechanics, I liked the concept. And the pixelart is very cute! :D
