The music is very catchy and the art style is really great. You nailed the NES feel. I did have a hard time figuring out why I was assembling the team when the tetris game started, but I like where this is going!

I'm not really sure of how your party is supposed to affect the Tetris part but there're plenty of things I like here, assembling a party then playing Tetris is really my kind of thing, and I restarted a couple of times to see some of the enemy designs because they're very cool and they're quite some different ones. The game overall looks pretty good and the tunes are catchy.

The fact that the speed of the blocks never increases means you have to mash the down button even after a while in this version, I think you can't really make a piece slide on the bottom floor either.

Yeah, unfortunately I didn't have much time to iron out bugs or finish the main gameplay loop before the deadline. The initial idea was to have gacha game mechanics, where the party would have stats that affect damage. The lack of block sliding was a bug that I didn't catch until after the deadline, but the fix was literally just moving one line of code above another one lmao. Thanks for playing though, and I'm glad you liked the concept!

The NES feeling is superb, i really love it. Unfortunately I don't seem able to finish a dungeon run, like I "kill" the guy but the game keeps running and I don't have a clear objective.
I think It needs a button to let the pieces fall all the way down.
Art and music is perfect.

So I actually deliberately didn't add instant drop, because the original tetris didn't have it. As for the dungeon portion, enemies are supposed to spawn continuously until you lose, but both spawning and the game over condition had bugs I didn't have time to iron out before the deadline. Thank you for playing though, and I'm glad you enjoyed the aesthetics.

This is a cool idea, I’d love to se it more fleshed out! I kept playing long after I defeated the guy just to keep seeing the tiles haha

Developer(+1)

Yeah, unfortunately one of the bugs I wasn't able to get to before the deadline was enemies not spawning continuously, haha. If I'd had another hour or so I probably could have ironed out the big kinks, but what can you do?

Very cool graphics!
