Fantastic work! I managed to collect all the acorns, nevermind the time :D

Love the simple speed runner! The higher jump is really challenging and it might be good to tweak the params to make it a touch easier. But overall a solid entry!

I love this, I'm the kinda guy who goes for world records that nobody looks at on mario maker levels. Pretty happy with 00:39:05, bit of spaghetti fingers though since I've been playing quite a while! The dash feels great and it was fun to try a few different routes before finding the fastest.

I do wish dashing on top of squirrels worked the same as jumping on top of them, which would make it feel a bit smoother to me (also I spent the first 30 seconds dashing at squirrels thinking that's how I got the acorns back...!)

I love the sprites, the music and the gameplay, fantastic job!

Might come back tomorrow to see if I can improve my time ;)

Speed running is one of my favorite things to do when playing games so it was a nice surprise to see that someone made a game based around it! Dive move is pretty neat too

great game and clean graphics! nice job even though I felt very guilty hurting those squirrels :(

Hey, that was pretty fun! I loved that the game was short and sweet, making it easy to pick up and play. The hit boxes with the squirrels were a bit tricky to get right at first, but once I got the hang of it, it became more manageable. The animations were well done, though the style felt a bit inconsistent. The very detailed, realistic squirrels contrasted with the main character's cartoony, simplified look, which created a bit of a visual mismatch.

The music was absolutely 🔥🔥! It was really energetic and well-composed, but it did feel a bit too intense for the overall tone of the game. Since the platformer featured animals and didn't have any dire threats, the battle-like music seemed slightly out of place. Perhaps a more lighthearted or whimsical soundtrack would better suit the gameplay and theme.

Everything in the game was really good in its own right, but could have been a little more cohesive overall. I had a great time playing and can see a lot of potential here! Excellent work :)

Neat, once I got the hang of the jump/dive timing I could really appreciate this one. Smart idea to make a speed-run focused game for a jam too.

Super cool game and I just adore the squirrels. Was a lot of fun to collect all the acorns as fast as I could :D

Were glad you liked it! Thank you so much :))

The music on this game is incredible and so are the graphics,  and also, the movement feels great. I wish it were longer though

After many "just one more try" I eventually did 00:39:13.

The animations of the squirrels are great and I like the music.

I don't know what's intended based on the texts but I think you can't directly restart from the Pause menu? In which case I wish I could when trying hard to go for the best time.

Developer(+1)

Impressive time! I managed 00:44:54, wonder where you're saving so much time?

You can restart from the pause menu by pressing Space. Apologies for the oversight!

Thanks, I'm not sure just as I'm not sure the behaviour of the squirrels is completely deterministic, during this one I did not wait for the one which goes back and forth the cave and especially the one at the end in the bottom of the level I managed to deal with fast while in general it cost me a lot of time.
