Interesting concept. I got around 60-70 easily but had trouble reaching 100+ :) Great job! Only thing missing is sound I think

Developer

Thanks! :D I'll fix the sound after the jam

Cool!

I like the twist -  I knew I should have avoided the mutation to keep my high score going but i was always curious to see were the mutant head would go lol. I think it would have been cool if the mutation moved around and you had to dodge it, but otherwise this was a classic nokia experience.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. Yup, forcing the mutation somehow is what I was thinking. Right now, you can avoid the mutation and just get the regular powerup; and it gets really easy / boring

I really enjoyed the game! It had a nice twist too!

Cool, that's a very interesting concept, a nice variation of the classic snake. the mechanic is super easy tu understand, especially thanks to the fact that the game is not in real time, which is a good thing in this case! anyway, if you happen to try my game, let me know what do you think about it!

Thanks for thew feedback :) I played it, it's very fun. Didn't manage to finish it though

Interesting take on the original Snake II game :D I wonder how it would be played in real time

Developer(+1)

The funny thing is, it was implemented real time initially. I added the turn based logic in order to easily investigate some bugs in the collision code. Then I realized it just makes a lot more sense to be turn based. I'm glad you like it. I might have some time after the compo to add some polish and features to it (including real time)

I really like the idea. I played it many times.  It will be great if I can control the other heads like a mirrored

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback :D I'll explore other viable solutions to control the secondary snake. I couldn't find any in time for the Jame though.

Super fun idea, I played around with this for quite a while. Probably the neatest innovative mechanic I've seen in this jam so far. I love the way the snake heads collapse back into one snake when the split has spread itself all the way out, very clever.

Thanks a lot! :)

I love this take on such a classic game - the mutant heads add a fun extra level of complexity

Developer

Thanks!

I like how you made it turn based, that makes it a lot easier to play. Although I must say, the game over screen kinda reminded me of this... Apart from the obvious: more sound effects, particle effects, maybe harder difficulty modes..? I don't really have anything to suggest. It's just good.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, there is a lot of room for polish :)

Interesting twist indeed! I never played that kind of snake game before! I like the fact the snake was not moving automatically, I thought cool that's an easy snake -- until that second head popped up and " oh no what am I gonna do"

Developer

thanks for the feedback. the idea about not moving automatically came up pretty late, but indeed it fits the game concept perfectly

I like the idea of this game. But it feels a bit unpredictable. Are the other heads independent? I don't get the pattern.

Developer

yup, you don't control the other heads at all. they move by themselves to any available space
