Beautiful illustrations and overall very polished look. This game somewhat reminds me of Bishi Bashi Tower which is one of my favorite arcade games.
It took me a couple of rounds to realize what I was doing but I think that is totally fine! Well done!
Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words! I'll have to check out Bishi Bashi. Yeah finishing the Jam I realized it was going to take a few tries before people could connect all the visual dots since it all moves so quickly, but I'm glad it doesn't seem to be too much of a barrier!
Wow! Amazing achievement for the jam period! Great variety and excellent animations. Possibly my favourite game of the jam.
Thank you for the very high praise!
This is really good; well-implemented, polished, a complete game (except for the sound). Only someone terribly ungrateful would complain that it's really quite hard :-) Excellent work here; no complaints at all!
Ha! Thanks for the positive feedback. It’s definitely a little too quick and frantic at the moment, comes across more confusing than hectic-in-a-good-way. In combination with some games that were finished last minute or not tested enough, it’s harder than intended for sure. But I hope to address it in an update soon, along with adding some sound. Thanks for playing!
this game is so polished! i never imagined someone could do so much with a palette of just two colours. it reminded me of work time fun for the PSP which i loved playing when i was a kid.
what engine did you use to make this game?
Hey! Thanks so much for the positive feedback. Have to give almost all the art credit to my brother, he honestly amazed me as well. I work in GameMaker Studio 2. I'll have to research that PSP game, never heard of it!
your brother did a fantastic job with the art. it looks and plays like a premium game.
This is the most chaotic baby I've ever seen and I love it. Really love the look and feel of it all and I managed to have Kia like me for 34 days! I really wanna come back at some point and see if I can beat myself just cause this is so much fun . Well done!
Oh wow!! That is the highest number I've heard of someone achieving in the Jam version! Nice work, that's not easy considering some of the games need serious work *cough-snacktime-cough* but I'm really glad you enjoyed it enough to play that much! Thanks for the compliments.
This game was honestly well animated, straight to the point, and quick paced. I love it! This is making me really wish there were sounds in this game as it would of made the experience even better. All of the minigames were hard to understand at first, but as I kept trying, I gradually understood my goal in them and had a blast playing through them!
Thanks so much for the very kind words! Super happy to hear you had such a good time with it. The sounds missing is really the only thing I'm disappointed about when it comes to the jam, but I'm going to get some in there in an update. The update will also attempt to tackle some usability, trying to make objectives and information more clear. Thanks for all the feedback.
Really funny, with fantastic animations and a good variety of minigames
Thanks so much :)
It takes a while to understand what's going on. But the game is fun! The idea is consistent, the graphics are nice and well put together, obviously a lot of work went into i
Thank you! Yeah, definitely one of the lessons I took away from this project: make sure I’m always zooming out and thinking about the user experience of someone going into the game knowing nothing. It’s very overwhelming and too fast. I may make some clarity updates at some point. Thanks for the feedback!
Woah! Rapid-fire fun! Everything within the game was great. I lost it when I finally dodged the ninja stars just to be fly-kicked in the baby guts - a lot of great humour here. Seems like my baby is most competent at outrunning police cars though, should I be concerned? Awesome game!
Haha! I absolutely love when the ninja gets people, I think that's our best minigame because the humor/timing just worked out so well. Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words.
This game is super cute, and the minigames are fun to play. It's fast paced, so I had to keep on my toes a lot!
That's great, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
this is pretty fab
best compliment yet
I love Jam games with many minigames, and with humorous element of course! This one had both! It would be sooo much fun with audio, can't wait for the updated version!
Thank you! Love to hear that people would want to play an update, I have a few ideas. I'll keep you posted!
Very polished and it is hilarious. It'd be much more enjoyable with sound, great game!
Thank you so much!
Really nice game! It was a bit difficult to read everything before it went away. I think this was due to the bubbly text. The aesthetic is awesome however and I had a lot of fun with it.
Thanks! Slowing the game down a little bit is on my list for a potential post-jam update, it's a little too frantic at the moment I think. Glad you enjoyed!
I didn't do very well at the games, sometimes I couldn't tell what my inputs were doing, but there is a lot packed into this and it's very funny and charming. Love the full screen shots like "Mama!" Also the fonts are great.
Thank so much for the feedback! Yeah, we considered having some on-screen controls and things for the minigames, but we were already packing so much in there visually. Definitely room for improvement.
This is adorable and hilarious. As a new father, I feel seen. Great job. Too bad about the sound.
Haha, thanks man! Great to hear you enjoyed it, we tried to have a humorous element for sure. Sound is really the only thing I'm disappointed about, but I'll get some in there at some point.
This is really good! It actually took me a bit to understand what was going on, I think it would be great to have sounds. Still, it's really good, one of the best games I tried.
Thank you! Yeah, the cut we're most sad about is the sound, just didn't budget our time well. And we feel the same about following what's happening, something to keep in mind for the future. Thanks for playing!
Nice game! i loved the animations
Thanks! Appreciate that!
The game was really funny and there is some good art here! However, its hard to follow what is going on. I think the game might be easier to follow with some sounds effects that help express what is happening.
Thank you! Yeah, we both wish we had time to add the sounds we planned on, but had to cut it at the end. We also agree that the game ended up pretty visually confusing. More clarity next time!
