Description
These songs are mostly electronic, making use of the Helm synth and FL Studio's default electric piano.

The idea I had was that it could be a game where the hero can interact with dreams, and fights the nightmares of the troubled kids, while trying to make their wishes within come true. When he descends into the level (the child's dream) he would appear as a shooting star. However, there's only so much he can do since he can't interact with the real world (I added alarm clocks and ticking to show the connection to dreams) but he tries his best to make the kids happy, at least in their dreams.
The game would likely be a kind of dungeon crawler where you fight nightmares and talk to the kids inside the dream.

Sea of Dreams would be the main theme/level select of the game, and Restless Trance is the main level theme.

Message from the artist:
The cymatics origin plugin I feel really saved me on this one, being able to change saturation and add chorus, as well as movement on individual notes. I also got to experiment a bit with wet vs dry reverb.

Theme:

Wish upon a star

How does it fit the theme?
The hero would appear as a shooting star when loading into levels, and stars were represented in the soundtrack as short high notes with long release time and reverb. The hero has the purpose of fulfilling wishes (to some extent) and a floaty, hopeful/heroic feel is given by the synths present.

I love the twist on the story where you actually play the wish granting entity! Really nice sound choices and overall vibe for your tracks, and you've managed your reverb pretty well! In particular, I really like the build up your second track. Nice job overall!

Nice use of reverb in restless trance! sea of dreams also had a nice soundscape going with the synths in the background :) I think the melody in restless trance can be brought out more especially when the other parts join. Also, this is a bit of a nitpick -- maybe add a gradual decrescendo/fade out at the end of your tracks so the end is less sudden and flows into the next track seamlessly. Overall I like the instrumentation + blend you picked for both pieces. Great work!

I was completely immersed from the very 1st second of Sea of Dreams, no exaggeration. The way you introduced the 1st chord with synth has such a poetic and dreamy atmosphere, and the marimba motifs with an expessive playing are just perfect! Then, I felt a bit more of movement in Restless Trance, while staying completely coherent with the 1st track. I'm really convinced by it's gameplay aspect. Great job!!!!

Sea of dreams: that dreamy vibe is instantly captivating. Great attention to detail. Very creative to use that alarm clock sound, haha. I also like the wood percussion in the background.

Restless trance: that clock element again! I love the percussion here, too. Very immersive.

Very unique submission. Thanks for sharing!

Very subdued, and an interesting concept. Reminded me of Undertale level music a bit.

I like your game idea of interacting with dreams, I think it's an interesting approach to the theme. The tracks you made have a wonderful dreamlike quality to them that fulfills their purpose wonderfully. Great job!

Sea of Dreams: As you described, the movement to each long note feels like waves or like the distortion of reality entering into a dream and adds a lot to the ethereal atmosphere of this piece. My favorite part is the marimba trill that fades in slowly throughout the piece. I think the alarm clock doesn’t necessarily registers as an alarm clock, but rather feels more like a soft bell chiming in the distance and works well without your ambience.

Restless Trance: Main levels for dungeon crawlers are interesting because they have a distinct emotional context they need to fill: my interpretation of that is to have an air of mystery while inciting curiosity and a sense of adventure all while not allowing the music to grow too large. You did a fantastic job of that in this piece. It does not completely resolve which gives the mystery and curiosity, while still having a driving momentum which brings in the adventurous aspect. The composition also lends itself well to your game design which is a really cool idea! Thank you so much for sharing!

Awesome soundtrack! The feeling is so relaxed and almost surreal, in a way. Sea of Dreams really feels like it came from a dream, not just because it sounds good, but because of the whole ‘deep synth’ feel to it.

Thank you so much! Reverb was the key I think haha

Ok firstly I just wanna state that your artwork is very cool, not sure if you made it or not but I just wanted to say that first haha. I especially like your sound in restless trance, the chords are very playful sounding and very calming overall. Kinda nostalgic sounding too, I like it!
