Description
So, here we go.
I saw the theme and instantly wanted to make a game in my mind that was about multiple realities.

The game is about a little girl with the magical ability to traverse different realities, not knowing which one she came from or which one is her home.
During the game she will travel to multiple realities where everything is similar but also very different.

I made the soundtrack with this in mind, using a leitmotif that is present through all of the songs, but in different genres.

I made the decision to utilize different genres to differentiate the realities from each other.

1. The first track is a mellow guitar track that sets the tone for the "reality selection".
2. The second track is a reality where everything is very futuristic, neon, 80s themed.
3. The third track is a reality where the planet has frozen over and everyone is living in a tundra/glacier/ice age.

I used Cubase for this with a bunch of different plugins from Spitfire, Audio Imperia, U-He etc.

Message from the artist
I started off strong working on this for 2 days straight, but then reality set in as a father of two small children and I postponed everything that was left until the last minute.

Theme

Inside my world
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
See description of the game above.
The girl is trying to find her own world while traversing multiple different worlds.
The picture is depicted as the girl watching the bubbles as "realities".

Kay, is this a cool and groovy cyberpunk soundtrack, with a retro synth wave base? cool!

...sad violin at the end :_)

Gorgeous!!! Would have love to hear a fuller version of this soundtrack in the future cause your ideas and production level are really strong. I think Absolute Zero was probably my favourite because of the maturity of that piano part, it sets the theme for the story you have so well!!

I really liked all of this!! the use of the same leitmotif in every track, but utilizing different genres is a genius move! really fitting for the game idea. overall really nice soundtrack. I really liked neon city jam the most out of the 3, but all 3 are just top notch.

if I had to suggest something, anything, it’d probably be that the fadeout in neon city jam is a little too long. I’d shorten that fade trail if I were you.

I REALLY liked neon city jam! it is such a bop but I wish it didn't have such a long fadeout it's like almost half the song ):

I really liked how you implemented the leitmotif in Neon City Jam (this track sounds amazing btw) Nice job :)

I liked the Neon City Jam for its consistent high energy going there, and then Absolute Zero had a nice sad feel to it,

Very pleased with this submission overall, good job

Thanks a lot!

I can't decide if I liked Neon City Jam more or Absolute Zero. 80s sound that really pop and has some drive VS beautiful desolated soundscape. Both very solid and worthy of more attention on this contest.

Developer

My personal favorite actually turned into Absolute Zero while making it, due to how subtle the leitmotif is in it and the sense of progression of the song.
But thank you so much for the review!

Man, get your 80's on with neon city! thats sick

I like the interpretation of alternate realities and how that allows you to compose songs that are so different. All songs are well-produced and arranged. Though I felt like there could've been a strong leitmotif to help glue them all together in the same universe. Lastly-

OH HELL YEAH NEON CITY JAM, BABEY. LET'S GRAB THEM SPANDEX, TIME TO DO SOME AEROBICS.
