Description
Soft and childlike
I imagined a game where a child goes to the ocean to understand what happened to her grandmother. In the beginning she can hear her grandmother guiding her but to slowly fades to nothing but her parents wishing her to come home. She learns grief, but also learns that the people we've lost are never truly gone.
Dreams and Visions is based on her coming into the ocean and being with her grandmother
Soft Grief is when she learns what happened to her grandmother
Lullaby is a song they used to sing together and she learns that her grandmother will always be with her.
I tried to make each track a bit childish, I used musescore.

Theme

Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
The image is very fantastical and full of childlike wonder, there's also a shape that looks like a grandmother there too.

It fits the Theme very good and the First Song is really Great, Like the other Songs.

I really like your submission! The tracks feel varied but still like they are from the same game. <3

I think you have the right amount of instrumentation going on. The reason it can get a bit repetetive is just that the instruments vst's themselves maybe aren't the hightest quality, but that is the smallest problem, so dont worry about that. And maybe vary the harmony itself some more, like different voice leading, inversions, change the texture a bit, stuff like that. You can do alot with not that much, and I really enjoyed yours!

Very bubbly and emotional. It was great compositionally all around. I do think a bit more variety in instrumentation would've been nice, but it's good to keep some continuity in the soundtrack as well. Good work!

These were quite nice and I liked the woodwinds in the first piece. I do think they were a tad similar but still great overall!

Thank you for the criticism!!!!

Great use of instrumentation and respect for their respective strengths - something I struggle with a lot. I think Soft Grief is my favorite; never becoming too loud or overtly busy, setting the tone and scene perfectly. All in all each of the tracks fit overarching theme quite well and play well with one another. Good job!

Developer

omg thank you!!!!!! soft grief is also my favorite :)
