Description
In this game you enter a dream and explore the bizarre world around you. Here you will meet strange and sometimes amusing characters, and be mesmerized by the beauty of the dream. You will have to solve puzzles to find your way through the dream.

"Down the Dream Hole" is meant to be a reference to Alice in Wonderland, and in this track you enter the dream.

"Floating on a Dream" is your first exploration into the dream. Here you float around the dream seeing breathtaking and bizarre sights.

"Oddly Shaped Town" is your first encounter with a person living in this land. The ecounter is meant to be goofy and bizarre, as he tells you about the way to traverse the dream land.

"Movements of Thoughts" is the second exploring music.

"Puzzles" is music for one of the many puzzles you will have to solve to go further!

The genre is a mixed but Electronic/Ambient/Orchestral.

I used Ableton as my DAW.

Theme

Inside my world
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Inside my world is relevant because you are litteraly inside your own dream world.
And the picture is used alot for inspiration. The floating, beautiful and dream-like state of the art, is very fitting!

Remarkable soundtrack! I was amazed by all of the different textures that you incorporated into each track. Excellently produced!

Is it magical? Yes! Mesmerizing? Yes! Do I want to walk through a new mysterious world while listening to this music? Yes!

Thanks)

I think the way you shaped these ideas was so damn cool, especially for me in Down The Dream Hole and Floating On A Dream, the way you blended all these different textures together made everything so relaxing and floaty, which matches the ideas you seemed to be going for impeccably! Great work.

There is extremely impressive work here. Very atmospheric and lovely use of colours and subtle textures. The pacing in the compositions is excellent and there is a great feeling of story arch. Very strong work :)

Thank you so much! <3

Very well mixed, good job with electronics and orchestral, a couple of tracks sounds like an inspiration from Gris really liked the reverse fx (I love using those) and piano. Odly Shaped Town sounds like its not supposed to be there but at the same time its a great change of pace compared to all the other tracks that its a nice bridge between the rest. Well done !

Amazing musics full of nuances and emotions! I really liked your submission :D

Great soundtrack! I love the overall mysterious vibe of all these pieces, while also having them stand out from one another, and not all blend together into one song. This is definitely one of the few soundtracks in this competition that I would put on in the background while relaxing or something. All in all, a nice, chill soundtrack. Great job!

this soundtrack is so beautiful like??? you do a great job building these ethereal ambiences with perfect choices in synths and its just ... *chefs kiss*

youve put in a lot of thought into this submission and i love the amount of personality each track has. my favorite is oddly shaped town - you kept up this mysterious vibe while shaping such a fun scene with bouncy staccato instrumentation! i honestly was able to space out and forget i was supposed to be judging while listening, and honestly that's such a good thing. you've earned only good ratings from me!!

Fearless synths

Very, very pretty, my goodness! And very distinctive with the mix of cello and electronics, those first two tracks particularly I love. Good show!

I liked Oddly shaped town a lot! It was goofy and fun to vibe to!

Down the dream hole - I liked the discipline of how this patiently brings in the low tones just at the end.  Floating on a dream - nice dynamic control on the in and out crescendos in the early part.  Oddly shaped town - nice evocation of funk and really pleasant low beats on this.  Movement of thoughts - sneaky introspection, the arpeggio up and down of the high synth in there just poking out over the gentle stuff.  Puzzles - clever descending melodic core.

Really enjoyed this submission overall, was pleased to be able to rate it, keep making good stuff.

I beg you please, if you find the time, go rate a maximum of other composers so you can gain some visibility. There is no "normal" world where this doesn't deserve 100 ratings at least. Amazing Submission!

Also what's that Cello VST you are using? It's lovely!

I tried to send people to your submission through discord, hopefully that helps!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much man! I will be doing a lot more rating this week, i've just been busy ://

The VST is actually a free library in Spitfire LABS called Cello Moods, haha! But it's not versatile at all sadly. I do believe it's actually meant for creating an ambient feeling, more so than being a lead.

And thank you for the shoutout! <3

ooh I see, yeah spitfire does focus on stuff like that. Thanks for the recommendation!

I liked the move to a more electric sound in tracks 3 and 5. The weird panning and rhythm  makes the piece sound abstract and weird. but the standout to me was the quality of the cello in Down the dream hole. All the tracks feel like they came out of a dream. Great job!

What a great listen! I absolutely love the subtle touches of panning/filter sweeping. Really brings out a dreamy feel. The sound design is on point. Great job!

Hi Mickie!

Into a Dream is a very special OST, one of the charmest I've ever heard!

The background in Down The Dream Hole is 10/10. It shines by itself without overshadowing the melody.

Your arrangements were very carefully carfted.

Great work!

I liked your combination of traditional orchestral instruments and synths. This did remind me of the dreamlike atmosphere of Alice in the Wonderland, especially the "Puzzles" track which is my favorite. I really enjoyed the composition for that one! Thanks for sharing!

Great compositions ! Really feel inside a dream full of adventures on your music! Cheers!

Loved Oddly shaped town, good ideas to sound goofy  but Down the Dream Hole makes me dream! Loved!

Thank you! <3

This is a fantastic hybrid score my friend! All of the traditional instrumentation is fantastic, and then your layering of the electronic elements just takes it to the next level. My personal favorite was Oddly Shaped Town, because it was just so weird and funky lol.

Great job!

Developer(+1)

Haha I'm glad you liked it! It means a lot coming from you <3

I'm personally super envious (but more proud) of how you handled those traditional parts of the score, that's the kind of stuff I strive for but never seem to hit lmao

I really like the atmosphere you set in all the tracks. It really sets the tone. I really like your use of piano, cello, and electronics. Great work!
