Description
The genre of the game is best described as electronic.

The game I designed the soundtrack for took inspiration from the games Inside/Limbo, Rain World and Hollow Knight. A lush dystopian world overrun by robots and mutated creatures.

Each track is meant to represent a part of the world the player traverses. The first track, Unrecognizable would play over a cutscene explaining how the world went into disarray. Both exploration themes would adapt to the scenery. The robotic enemy theme (titled UGV) would play in an area where the player is chased by UGV scouts. Similarly, the human enemy theme plays while traversing a mutated human nest. The Boss Theme plays while you fight the central control unit who controls all connected robots on the planet. Plan Z plays during a cutscene where the player frees the remaining living humans in stasis, and the final track plays when the player reaches the beginning of the game again, where they sit down to look over the meadow they started at.

Each track, as you may notice, has quite simple progression. I always started with an element which represents the theme of the track the most. For example, for the first track, I used the "Dystopian Lead" synth in the "Arksun Cityscape" pack, with which I jammed out around the A minor chord. Eventually recreating the progression with a grand piano patch, and slowly faded the synth in, drowning out the piano.

I used FL Studio as my DAW, using FLEX as the sound library. All sounds come from the free libraries you can download.

Message from the artist
I'm aware that I still have a long way to go, but I'm happy with where I am, and I can't wait to learn more.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
The game revolves around the player exploring a world in ruin. Due to the player being a reverse cyborg (A robot who fixed itself using human parts) with a human conscience the world, being overrun by robots, would normally be most favorable to the player. Despite this, the protagonist still wants to fix it.

Super cool concept! I love the reverse cyborg idea! protocol lost  was my favorite tack!

Nice buildup in all the pieces, very coherent style throughout with some "dreamy" attributes, paints a clear picture of the metal world you are imagining. Boss Theme is my favorite, very menacing and robot-y. I also like how you picked up the title theme again in the Ending track. Great job!

A beautiful, atmospheric soundtrack, with plenty of space and freedom in it to really dive into the sounds and experience them fully - well done!

Nice a lot more of an actual Video Game OST than a lot of the submissions which are more of stand alone pieces. Really hits home your description of a dystopian world and the music itself is an awesome mix between modern and retro tones and themes. Nice compositions!

Nice tracks, you do indeed love lush and reverb, I was thinking it might be a bit too much but it fits your whole concept, I would still take it down a little bit. Very Blade Runner in Unrecognisable I like it especially when the synth starts. UGV is definitly very different in terms of bass mixed with the melody like it doesnt look like it goes together but it does I have to get used to it. Well done !

Is it a long soundtrack...? I LOVE LONG SOUNDTRACKS!

Unrecognizable is a good theme to accompany an explanatory text (I love this reverb). I really liked the effect of the sound becoming clearer towards the end

Exploration (Daytime Theme) - Oh my God... These drums...are beautiful)

Exploration (Nighttime Theme) Is Good... but this is already a formidable topic, but no less beautiful topic (I very clearly imagined a bunch of fireflies. Lol)

UGV (Enemy Theme) - Wow... That's cool! Beautiful bass, synthesizer "jumping" on the ears. The quiet and sweet middle of the track gives a good rest and... hope?

Barely Human (Enemy Theme) - The drums are pumping. Chorus, drums, clicking percussion and synthesizer are my favorite combination in ambient tracks.

Protocol Lost (Boss Theme) - Incredible texture. The sharp jump at 0:43 pleased me) Sounds like a good theme for a boss fight! (Time to kick his ass)

Plan Z Is Like That... At 1:40, I got goosebumps...

One Last Look (Ending) is A good ending. This is a slow synthesizer... He's good) The piano complements it well!

In general, you have made a wonderful and full-fledged ambient soundtrack that would perfectly suit your genre of game! I liked.
The only complaint that has been described by people in the comments is the turbidity of the sound on some synthesizers... And so - good job!

P.S. I'm also just learning how to make music... and therefore I perfectly understand this feeling when there is still a lot to learn about this art. You will definitely succeed!

Thanks for the atmospheric half hour)

A very complete soundtrack. I could definitely see it being the background music to a metroidvania type game.

Cool aesthetic overall, Unrecognisable reminded me of Lena Raine's synths. I'd have mainly one thing to say, your enemy themes (I'm assuming they're fight themes then but I can be mistaken) are very soft, while your exploration themes are more dynamic than usually seen. Individually it's fine, but taken together I think the OST lacks this kind of contrast between calm and tense moments.

Otherwise, pretty cool submission!

I really like One Last Look, the parallels to the first track work well with the story you outlined, and the composition gives a sombre but hopeful feeling to the song. The whole soundtrack has this very thick, desolate atmosphere that would definitely fit with your dystopian game idea.

The only slight issue I have is that sometimes the mix gets a bit muddy with the heavy reverb on some of the lower pitched synths, but overall this is really good!

Thank you very much for having a listen. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Proper mixing (and knowing how to properly identify problems) is definitely something I will be working on!
