Was immediately struck by the Mars 13 planet in a solar system with a single star and single planet. The music captures the enormity of a journey to a distant planet. Its driving at times and is slow and reflective at times. Awesome emotional depth behind it which is critical to the idea of a deep space adventure and conflict with a mysterious alien civilization. It absolutely HAD to be an orchestral arrangement. Wonderful composition and mix. Seriously killer job!
I really love and appreciate the retro tones. It absolutely is the OST of an exploration platformer. I vision this on a early PS1 game. The introspective nature of your description really comes through in the melodies and vibe of your tracks. This is from my era!

Nice a lot more of an actual Video Game OST than a lot of the submissions which are more of stand alone pieces. Really hits home your description of a dystopian world and the music itself is an awesome mix between modern and retro tones and themes. Nice compositions!

So much emotional depth in this OST. Exploring memories is a great description. The sadness and weight of the story really comes through. Almost triumphant at times but always sad with a light at the end of the tunnel. Awesome compositions and great mix!

This is absolutely terrifying. Please take that as a compliment because per your description that is exactly what you are going for. I can tell a lot of thought and work went into the concept and you absolutely nailed it. This is probably the most original work I’ve heard yet on the jam. The tracks for your description perfectly. The first track really implies innocence with an adventure that awaits. They progressively get more serious with the 3rd one definitely implying the seriousness of the adventure and what is at stake. Definitely reminds me of the adventures of a certain green tunic hero you mentioned! Awesome work
I love the innocent feeling of this work. Reminds me of a happy village with children running and playing with happy people conversing. There is an almost melancholy feel to the melody. It could fit over so many things. Awesome job!
Most of the submissions I’ve heard are are attempting to be a stand alone piece but not here. This is probably the most actual video game OST I’ve heard. Not trying to be over the top but to lie behind an actual game. Something I worried about and struggled with myself actually when writing for my piece. I love FL as well. Awesome job!
Adventure ABSOLUTELY. This OST brings me right back to my childhood. Full of triumphant and whimsical adventure. It strongly reminds me of many of my favorite franchises. The composition and mix is so good. I would be so proud of this OST you’ve done a great Job. This is one of my favorites!
the first track, ispriraction wow what an absolute terrifying crescendo. The second track is a beautiful and peaceful piece with a lot of emotional depth. My favorite by far was the boss/battle music. I tried hard to conceive of a piece like that but was not able to achieve it. Really awesome work here. I think there is something extra special about orchestral pieces. You’ve done great work here.
I absolutely love the sounds you went with here. And the ambiance you achieved really implies the vastness of space. Beautiful and sad melodies on the first and 3rd track. My favorite is definitely space vigilante. I love the almost retro sound of the “riff” on that song and just listening to this OST really puts you in the universe you’ve described. This one is actually one of my favorites great job!
These tracks scream puzzle platformer to me. They all are distinct from each other which in my mind really would separate levels/areas. It’s somehow retro and somehow modern. I can imagine being scared during the night. The concept is cool I wish I could see it in action. Great job on this OST!
